Interesting point about the watches. Rachel had said a few times that Peter "gets her" more than the other guys. I think he is very perceptive of what is going on with her and Bryan. For a guy who only wants to propose one time, this is adding to his hesitation. I don't have the hatred towards him that a lot of people do on these boards. Kudos to him for being honest, standing by his convictions, and for reminding me a little bit of Reid.

I think that you articulated some of my feelings about Peter. I do think he's trying to be honest and true to himself. I also agree with you that Peter is very perceptive and aware of what is going on with her and Bryan. He does want to propose only once and this may well be adding to his hesitation. He seems to be struggling.

I dislike anyone having hatred for anyone on this show who they have never met and do not know. We can like who we like and dislike who we dislike. But if we have not ever met these people or talked to them in person, then I don't know that we can presume to think we know who they are. Sure we can form our opinions and disagree in lively discussions. But I don't see why it has to rise to the level of hatred. I was reading on another site that there has been a lot of hatred directed at Peter on sm because of his inability to declare his love to Rachel. But I do really think he's just trying to stay true to himself and his feelings. I don't think it's been easy for him either. I saw pain and his eyes tearing up, even as some have said that he didn't really try to comfort Rachel. I think he's in some pain, too.

Finally, I loved that you brought up Reid! Yes, in a way he does remind me of him!

I think after tonight the family has a different opinion of Peter. Probably not what they thought

Peter would have had my complete admiration if he was true to himself and took himself out of the running, like a Brooks and others did.
He kept forcing himself to say the right things to Rachel and make it to the next round.
Very disgenous and conniving.

I've come to terms that anything peter does at this point will be somehow scrutinized and torn apart to pieces but Disingenuous and conniving? really? the guy who may as well have a poster held above his head saying "I'm not going to propose" is disingenuous?
I must have the wrong definition of that word, otherwise I'm confused as hell. All is my opinion

ETA: Bentley was a disrespectful person and I disagree with that comaprison 100% IMO
