I have a feeling that a couple of things could happen and Tara be seen as a dark horse but Elise be seen as a slow burn... meaning, that's the word that Matty has used in interviews "slow-burn" so could be pushing for his relationship with Elise since she already is being likened to Matty on Twitter with her move at CP (a la Matty). I expect their relationship to be friendship first and then heat up (by their 2nd SD with the hot tub like Matty's storyline).

One thing that Matty and Elise's conversation at CP tonight proved to me was that Belinda has insider knowledge. No way that Elise was a "frontrunner" in the house at the time when Belinda was on the show. So Belinda definitely knows post-show that Elise is in F2, imo, and pushed that narrative in the media just like I thought she was doing, imo. No different than other contestants who pushed Matty as F1 narrative last year.

If Elise is F1, she and her edit will be defying some huge huge odds. I am all for that, however the SCs will confirm either way

If Laura didn't show red flags as F1....I think some of us wouldn't think much of a contender but somethings are not adding up for her IMO and the opinion of some others. I think I posted in the closed thread, it ain't over till it's over. Elise has been introduced now, we will see how things take off with Matty...just glad they showed her tonight as speculated / expected.

If she is F2 I don't see her happy, I definitely see her appearing happy but I won't believe it. 

This is a girl who said it takes a LOT for her to fall in love and so if she does with Matty then for sure if she's F2 she is heartbroken and probs acting like Lara/F2 did who also appeared super happy only to be devastated and say it was so hard for her having to pretend she was happy when she was not. 

And Matty has already said his F1 has to pretend to be sad.

If Elise is F1 then maybe she just can't pretend to be said. But if she's F2? Then for sure I think she's pretending to be happy.

@Bobette, @allaboutlove....nothing concrete yet, we have just been stalking her friends and they seem to be stoked for her so if she is the broken hearted F2, i have no idea what kool aid her friends are drinking

I just keep thinking of Matty's comments on The Panel that F2 should "take advantage of all opportunities" and his raised eyebrows when Gretel suggested the F2 go on to be Bachelorette.  I think advertising for Elise's season may well have started tonight.  JMO.

I think we talked about this before; the show IMO has realized that the turn around for the Bette recycle is too long and now that they Sophie Monk in line plus other celebrities being floated, very doubtful IMO that a rethread will ever do the Bette again....jmo.

Tonights episode was the first that felt a bit more like old Bachie to me.
At least we saw some spontaneous interaction.
After being tricked by the Bell of Happiness last year I have been reluctant to take a favourite.
But the show has made it pretty easy so far because I don't feel I know any of the characters very well at all.
So far Flo, Laura and Tara are a bit more fleshed out and likeable, but just a bit.
Jen and the other blonde pot boiler too of course but this is filler I don't want to watch.
A few people noted the series may only be worth watching after most girls have gone and I think this is proving to be correct.
Enjoying the post though so thanks for that bit of fun.

That reminds me even more of Lara/F2's friends. They were OTT happy and supportive of her. Throwing viewing parties and commenting and liking pics of Lara with Sam. Yet Lara was heartbroken still and talked post-show how it took her many months to move on and how difficult it was pretending to her friends she'd won

IDK. SM can be misleading. Sometimes it can help put the puzzle pieces together though (edit, stats, SCs, etc) so definitely something to note. I am all for Elise as F1 so will sleuth regardless

As soon as I read the comment in bold I immediately thought of Laura and her jewellery business doing well since the start of the Bachelor. Matty's raised eyebrows could've been a red herring, like most of the editing is this season.

Yeah there's no doubt to me that no one from this season will be the next Bette.
They will edit for a Bette but it won't happen IMO

So there's lots of speculation that F2 would have a broken heart (whoever that might be)... but what if F2 simply didn't fall in love with Matty at all...? I have no doubt they would have to act like they do love him when they are on the show. But if it was "so obvious" to the girls who Matty loved (like they keep saying), then would you really fully invest?

But wouldn't it be nice if at the FRC, F2 says "Oh no worries! Look I think you and F1 are actually perfect for each other. And as much as I think you are an amazing guy, I just don't think you're my amazing guy"

Now THAT hasn't happened before on Bach (i think..)
