Production recently resumed on The Bachelor after a hiatus of more than three months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And leading man Locklan 'Locky' Gilbert wasted no time getting back in the saddle since filming kicked off last week.

In photos taken on Monday, the 30-year-old was spotted locking lips with a stunning blonde inside a leafy gazebo at the Bachelor film-set in Oxford Falls, Sydney.

It's unclear whether the pair were just spending some alone time together during a cocktail party, or whether they were at the end of a one-on-one date together.

Before kissing, the couple were spotted sipping wine while engaging in a deep conversation.

At one point, a pretty brunette was seen speaking to a producer before filming a confessional with a camera crew.

The Bachelor's eighth season will premiere on Channel 10 next month, the network's head of entertainment, Stephen Tate, announced on Monday.

While an exact air date hasn't been confirmed, it's expected the show will launch at the end of August, after Bachelor in Paradise season three has finished its run.

Judge Jackie 'O' Henderson and host Osher Gunsberg live in Sydney, and would need to self-isolate on returning to New South Wales if filming occurred in Victoria.

However, Osher would also be needed on set for The Bachelor franchise in Sydney, which could make it virtually impossible for him to do both shows concurrently.

If production moved to Sydney to accommodate Osher, it would likely cause issues for the Melbourne-based judges Dannii Minogue and Dave Hughes.

Domestic travel restrictions between NSW and Victoria has disrupted filming, with judge Dave Hughes confirming to Daily Mail Australia: 'It's delayed as far as I know.'
