Nope, I think what RS said is that she got a phone call from someone before the season began allerting her to the possibility that he is there for the wrong reasons and not to be trusted. That, I believe is what RS said in his blog.......going to re-check now.
I saw an interview somewhere..Ashley talking to Chris H before the M&G and told him that she knew about Bentley and Chris H acted suprised..Than ask her what she was going to do when he got out of the limo..etc...

this may have been answered already but there is a promo video at abc that has the interview with ashley talking about bently. it is called bently preview

Who we saw fall in love and get her heart broken was Chantal, but she fell in love with someone else in real life before they could sign her to be the Bachelorette, so they went with then next best thing in their eyes which was the "professional woman".
I think the audience might have warmed more readily to Shawntel, however, because she told Brad she loved him and was ready to leave her Dad and her profession for him, but that wasn't the angle the producers wanted.

Makes sense but I think what's going to matter at the end of the day is how charismatic she is as a lead and what kind of "love-story" is driving this season. Many leads weren't known at all (Andy, Andrew), but if they connected with the audience, they were a hit. OTOH, previously beloved contestants (Jen, Deanna) didn't do well if there wasn't a story and they became unlikeable.

Here's hoping the very best for Ashley! I think she's a genuinely sweet girl and I really hope her season and her relationship are a success.

I agree. Shawntel may have been considered briefly but it is very clear that she has pressure from her father to carry on the business and that would put a sticks in the spokes of love. She would be limited to a man who was free to relocate, ultimately. I know she said she would move for Brad but in reality, I don't think leaving the business would work out for her and they knew that.

saw Ashley from the bachelorette in H &M. Tried to take a pic bit was too obvious so she ducked. Not good at being incognito.

This sighting of Ashley was in Phildelphia.
