Mike & Samantha - Miles & Heather - Love in the Wild 1 - Discussion

I am loving it as well! So glad to find a forum for it. Most people I know don't even seem to be aware of it!

I was shocked. Derek was winning every challenge lately, too! He seems kind of playerish the first or second episode, but then by the end of the last one and this one he talked completely differently about romance and Jess. I loved him this episode and felt very bad that he had to leave.

The romance seems so much better for this show make-up than the bachelorette. I can't believe how many have paired off and seem to really want to have some sort of relationship.

Now, who do you think will make it far?

Couldn't agree more with the bolded part of your post. In fact I think if the shows were against each other I would be watching, Love In The Wild.

I just wonder how they will keep it suspenseful when the individuals pair up so fast?

But, then when I think if what an unusual elimination occurred tonight, then I think it might not be so obvious.

Also, what a better way to get to know someone - completing challenges together compared to over the top dates in romantic settings. I like this part of it much better than the Bachelorette, actually. Makes it seem like much more of the couples could fare better in the "real" world. But, I am glad they are not on at the same time.

Spoiler Alert:

Derek and Jess. Derek broke his toe and had an open wound so he couldn't compete anymore and Jess left herself in unmatched to continue a relationship with Derek. But, Brandee first rejected Ben and it was confusing how it would end when Ben, Brandee and Jess were all in unmatched. Brandee finally accepted Ben grudgingly.

ok I have to take my player stamp back off Derrick. He was so wonderful tonight. Ben is still wearing his but he did seem a little better last night until I saw next weeks previews. Skip and Theresa just seems absorbed with each other. Mike and Sam seem to have a real relationship like our cupcake.

Can't wait to see more of Mike and Sam.. they seem like the most real couple there.

That would be amazing if they were!!!!! One season and as many as all of the seasons of the Bachelor/ette shows.

As far a the show goes, they've only been together for a week and a half -- it is easy to maintain a "relationship" for merely a few days!!
