He's in Calgary Canada, which is 4 1/2 hours plane ride from me, 3-4 day drive, some 2500 kilometers but somehow I feel closer to him. laugh out loud

You don't have to go through border patrol to get to him? Maybe he is going to see some of the old venues from the 1988 Olympics. Is Calgary still big in rodeo? Maybe a Texas rodeo client?

No border patrol between provinces in Canada, only when crossing from Canada to the US or vice versa. I believe the Calgary stampede is over now, but maybe there are a lot of other things going on related to the stampede.

Oh wait, I think he was born there! Must go check that!

ETA: he was born in Medicine Hat Alberta which is a 3 hr drive from Calgary Alberta. Maybe he has family/friends there!
