I don't see anyone here disagreeing with that, @Newto. He left before the police arrived and therefore was charged. I'm certainly not defending him on that.

@albean99 - I think I have been motivated in my attitude by the plea bargain. That type of action always gets "under my skin" no matter who it is. Peace.

I don't think its too bad if so. There is a flood warning for the county where Strawberry Point is located on the Maquoketa River.

I live on the Mississippi to the south and east and it's flooding here on two rivers, so kind of a mess, but absolutely nothing as catastrophic as Nebraska.

The sentencing is today at 1:30pm. They tried to delay sentencing but the judge refused per local TV station

If he is sentenced to serve time, then he did something wrong. I always thought him fleeing the scene and hiding out was sketchy. Jmo.

I agree and I think he left the scene because he’d been drinking. Who’s he talking to at the scene on the tape, asking them if they know CPR?

@fox28Iowa (twitter) ...Judge rules to reschedule Chris Soules' sentencing hearing. Both sides asked for a new pre-sentencing report. Sentencing will be scheduled at a later date.
