I love a non popular view to spice things up ....I am very much open minded that it could be anyone of the F4 for now until we get more evidence.

Ok - my thoughts. I haven't really been reading threads to know who the sleuthed top 4 are but have seen the contestant thread so know roughly who has been talked about the most.

Here goes - first off I thought Matty was brilliant. Articulate, funny, handsome, quick-witted - he was perfection and exceeded my expectations. I can't think of a bachelor that I have liked more apart from Art. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the rest of the season is as good as last night.

I think that Matty is one lucky man - most of these women are stunning. My faves so far are Laura, Tara, Michelle, and Colbie. I was disappointed we didn't see much of Elise as it seems she goes far. Has the F1 ever been that hidden in the first episode?

Laura - WOW - I thought their chemistry was off the charts. They had some zing...and a little bit of zang! Wished we saw more of their conversation at the CP.

Tara - I love this woman! She's definitely going to be a fan favourite but I don't see her winning. Hope she goes far though as I'd enjoy watch her.

Michelle - love how she put Matty in a hold and I thought their banter was cute. Her looks do remind me of his sister though.

Colbie - Definitely my fave of the night. Very "Matty" and original to do the helium talking and I loved that Matty was straight into it and carried it on.

Lisa - Toooo young!!!!! She's a baby at 24 and she still a student. I don't think she'll be wanting to settle down and have kids anytime soon and that it really what Matty is after. Gorgeous though but I think once he's stops being blinded by her beauty and gets to really know her he'll discover that they are not compatible.

Elizabeth - I was shocked that someone could be so rude to a virtual stranger but I don't think she'll be the mean girl of the season. Probably just the alcohol talking.

I think the drama queen will be Jen. It seems like she is comfortable dishing it out but not so good in getting it back. Hopefully she'll be sent on her way soon.

That's all from me - I'm going to back now and read the posts on what you all thought of the episode.

I think she looks way better in her SM pics, @AllAboutLove.  I think the makeup & clothing they chose for her makes her look much older than she is from what I've seen in the pics & promos.

I actually think it was that horrible army green dress. Put her in a soft blue or pink and I'd think it would go better with her skin tone.

If it is Elise doing much of the VO's in the preview, that is similar to Georgias season where Matty's voice is predominant right down to the "I can't fault you, you're perfect" and then Georgia saying "I love you so much" i.e, on VO alone you thought he was F1

So I just watched the episode. I have consciously been trying to avoid looking at spoilers and any Australian Bachelor threads so I have no idea who the girls are or how far they go based on sleuthing. It helped that they were described by the clothes they wore rather than their names.

Alix seemed nice. Some possible chemistry there? Not sure, but since she is the first out of the limo, I'll keep an eye on her.
Tara was funny. I think he liked her, but I didn't see much chemistry. She looks like she might be the narrator of the season and the comic relief.
Laura had some chemistry. He said "Wow" and "couldn't even think"... so she might be a frontrunner...plus he pulled her aside first at the cocktail party.
Cobie seemed another one that was fun, but again, didn't see much of a spark.
Simone was skipped over despite the fact that her boobs were about to fall out of her dress. You know she would have gotten a lot more air time on the US show just for that.
Elise, Monica, Laura N, Elizabeth, Stef, Charlene, Stacy, Shawn, Jennifer fast intro. Out quick or MOT. Jennifer is very aggressive and a drama queen. I don't think he really likes her, but I can see her being one that tptb make him keep for the drama.
Natalie is kind of obnoxious. He did not like her or her Instagram stalking although naturally his interest was piqued by the fact that she had dated a woman. "Unique"=weird.
Michelle. He liked her, but I think he was more interested in the fact that she was a police officer...and her car...despite the fact that she got the first rose.
Belinda. Awkward with the minute of silence. Not into her.
Florence and Maddy had a little spark I thought.
Akualina and her ribbon. A little too much ribbon.
Lisa made him lose his train of thought and he thought she was stunning...and was looking after her a lot. She was also the one he took to the secret garden. Lots of sexual attraction, but need to see if there is more there. Definitely a front runner out of the gate.
Leah...hideous dress. Hideous!!! And the porn music. Trying too hard and thinks a lot of herself. I don't think he thought much of her. Not there to make friends=villain.
Elora....now that was an entrance. Some interest there, but maybe because of the fire.

I thought Matty did a good job with the M&G. He seemed really engaged and interested in getting to know the women. I'm looking forward to the next episode and seeing who got the first 1:1. In the preview he said it was someone who he was interested in right from the start which would make me think Lisa, but I thought the preview showed someone with long, dark hair and a generous bottom. Not sure if that is from the single date or the group date, but if it is the single, then I'm going with the entrance girl...Elora.

How did TPTB pay for dolphins?
