I think Becca will stay with him, but I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't have an instagram by the end of the season as well imo.

I agree. And I’m going to lose respect for her over this quickly. 

This isn’t cute/Baddy Jordan/Shawn/Bryan level stuff. Garret’s garbage is much more sinister and disgusting. At least to me. He’s not a baddy, he’s a bad person. If he really believes this stuff he likes anyway. And I don’t know about you, but when I personally like stuff, I’m not being like ironic. I actually like it and agree.

The bottom line imo. I really like Becca, she's a sweet girl, everyone who's met her talks about how nice and engaging she is, and from her sm, she doesn't share the same beliefs as Garrett. But she's not a saint and since she's not really directly affected by the disgusting things Garret believes, she has the privilege of ignoring it because they're 'in looooovvveee' and he's her 'missing puzzle piece'. Jmo.

I will be really disappointed if she just ignores his hate speech. How she handles this will tell me a lot about her character IMO. She is a lovely person inside and out and I want great things for her. Garrett being her F1 is very disappointing.I was so looking forward to this season and it feels like a train wreck TBH.

That’s the epitome of priviledge, right there. When the hate doesn’t personally affect you and you have that ability to be able to ignore and turn a blind eye.

I don’t envy the position Becca is in right now.

I don't agree with this at all (if I were Becca, I'd totally be pulling a Brad right now and CC'ing him a breakup email), but I think that if you're trying to justify someone's actions because you're deeply in love with them and have envisioned this whole future and are embarrassed/terrified of the possibility of having a second broken engagement...this is easier to excuse because he didn't say it himself. It was a like and that's easier to BS about ("babe, I don't actually think Parkland was a conspiracy! I just thought it was a funny coincidence!" "Oh, I just liked that post because it reminded me of hunting when I was little!") and it's easier to accept that BS. I don't think he's that type of overt bigot who is going to call her gay friends the f word or scream at immigrants walking down the street. I think his type of intolerance is much more hidden and it's probably easy to justify as him just being more "traditional" or "boys will be boys!" type of thing. It's disappointing, but I don't expect anything else from Becca at this point. IMO.

Here's the deal. I don't want to see any political parties named, none. No reference to who Garrett may support politically or who he doesn't.

I'm having a difficult time as it is trying to figure out American politics which I have zero interest in, therefore, lets keep the posting within the rules which specifically say no mention of political parties.

I have no idea who he supports, all I know is the content of his likes, which many have mentioned, which is within the rules to post opinions on said likes.

This is no different than stalking contestants SM post filming only to find they are following porn sites, or questionable sexual sites, or whatever. We don't care what political parties they are supporting, we comment on the content of the like, same goes for Garrett.

If we keep it within the rules, everyone is entitled to post their opinions, keep politics out, we'll be ok.

We appreciate everyone co operating, as you can imagine, this will be difficult for all of us. TY

Totally @Aria, I’m sure he knows how to behave in a civil manner even if he’s a literal caveman, otherwise she never would have chosen him. It’s sad but it is what it is. I feel bad for her too- learning he supports party x while you support party y was probs a little disappointing for her but no big deal during filming I’m guessing. However, doubt she knew the depth of the liking until literally today and now she’s a little too in deep to walk away.

Maybe absolute best case scenario is Becca turns on a light for this guy and he becomes a more enlightened, better person. Now that he’s engaged to one of those liberal feminists he’s so disgusted by, according to the likes anyway.    I mean, actually when I think about it that way, this situation is kind of funny to me. That Becca is the the kind of person someone like this ended up with. 

Yeah, best case scenario is he learns and thing or two and changes his mind about a couple/few things.

ITA. It's a shame that Garrett slipped through the cracks and the producers allowed him on the show, but not surprising because I'm sure he didn't go offering up his more controversial/gross views on a platter. And yeah, Becca may be blinded by lust at this point (I refuse to call it love after they've spent like... 30 hours total together), but a tiny part of me hopes that she can see past that and see him for what he really is.
