Bachelorette 17 - Katie Thurston - Media SM - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I honestly think that the final decision for the Bachelorette hasn't been made. I think its between Abigail and Katie.. I believe they were going to name Katie as the Bachelorette on Monday but the high interest in Abigail is still holding things back.. so many Katie 'our Bachelorette' post didn't pick up momentum as expected on twitter. So many folks kept saying I want Abigail but Katie is acceptable. So many BN Alumni are also trying to sell Katie for the position but Abigail has the STAR appeal. She has the IT factor that shines through on the screen. After Rachel's scandal, I dont think they want acceptable, they need the WOW factor to get them brownie points with the minorities watching... JMO

I don't think the Franchise always knows how to deal with things being "outside the norm", so I am not of the opinion that Abigail would be the best fit as the lead. I am not saying that I don't think she would be a good choice for the lead because I think she would, but I wouldn't trust them TPTB to do a good job with it.

I think Katie's getting a lot of traction but people like Abigail also. I could be happy with either but do believe that Katie has the personality to carry it off a little better. I'm very torn on whether it's a good idea for Abigail to even entertain it because I'm not sure this show is a good fit for her.

I wish that Bri or Michelle were in the mix, especially Michelle, but wonder if part of it is because of the timing due to the pandemic. I think Michelle would be excellent as lead. She has a great personality and I think she'd be good with the guys, imo.

I highly doubt that. He is full of it and I don't believe much coming out of his mouth.

I really like Abigail, but I am not sure if she could handle it (I know that I couldn't).

I know that everyone is talking about Abigail or Katie being TB, but what about Bri?

If Abigail were the next bachelorette, she had better be treated with kid gloves or this mama will come after the entire franchise. Don't mess with genuine! Katie could handle all the crap thrown at the lead. Personally, I would love to see Michelle - real job, nice family, has a DOG, and knows herself pretty well.

Abigail!!

My top 3 picks are Abigail, Katie, and Michelle. Abigail is my #1 at this point not only because she represents a new demographic as possible lead but also because she is forthcoming and realistic about life having challenges.
I want to see more of both Abigail and Michelle to see how they compare to what Katie presented, how they handle the pressure as they continue, and to learn more about them.
Katie is currently my #3. I like her but happen to like the other 2 more.

Do yall think Heather came back to give herself the chance of being a Bachelorette or SM followership?? She is getting more followers.. The whole Heather thing is just suspect..

more likely to get a prime spot on BiP - I think being two years removed would have made her one of the entrants that come towards the end and get nowhere; this way she's recent again and could take one of the starter spots
