They were up early last week (Monday or Tuesday maybe? I noticed when I was placing a bet on something else). I nearly screenshot the market as Todd was $1.50 then noticed last time you put up a screenshot the prices were the exact same and hadn't changed other than one or two of "let's just chuck in a recent name up to spice things up".

Oh that's interesting.  They must have put it back up for a brief period then because it had disappeared on April 1 when they launched the Bette market (noted here) and I haven't seen it since.  Well spotted!  Good to know Todd was still favourite AFTER his trip to Sydney

@butterflylove I can't see a market for Bette now either - seems like they've taken them both down? Filming was meant to start in May. We might be getting an announcement soon.

@Bobette yep, noticed that too and it was also up last week with the Bach betting. It also hadn't changed since you last posted the odds a month ago. Definitely feels like an announcement in coming any time now.

So I just had a squiz and we got Jimmy March 4 (Thursday); Locky March 4 (Wednesday); Matt tease March 6 (Wednesday) Matt June 19 (Wednesday) & Honey Badger June 20 (Wednesday).

So announcements, all bar Jimmy have come on a Wednesday, so keeping a close eye on:
April 20th (tomorrow)
April 27th
May 4th
May 11th
May 18th

If we're looking at a duel season or a seems to be Bachelorette filming / airing schedule.. Brooke May 20 (Thursday), Elly & Becky July 29 (Wednesday), Angie March 29 (Friday) & Ali April 30 (Monday).
Bachelorette announcements are a lil more sporadic, but our 2 most recent seasons have stuck to the formula. With both Bach / Ette seasons last year announced on a Thursday interestingly.

Bringing this post from yesterday over from the contestants thread because I just realised I posted it in the wrong place.  

Also adding the evidence below since "Todd" (ie most likely someone posting on his behalf) uploaded a pic 16 hours ago which was clearly taken the same day as another posted back in April, just flipped horizontally and minus one shirt.  

Note the identical position of the door in the background, length of hair and stubble, jewellery and scratches on neck.  No caption on the recent post other than to tag the jeweller, when usually his captions are full of wordplay and dad jokes.

My spidey sense is tingling.

Night 1 is filmed over two nights, usually Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs so things might have already kicked off, though usually the Lead is announced in advance so...

Ummmmm... OK guys what do we think of this development.

So I'm hoping this is just a crazy coincidence but ABC sports presenter and all round excellent super hot guy Tony Armstrong just announced he's taking, and I quote "a few weeks off".  He's also sporting a fresh quasi-mullet hairdo and looking extra fine today.

Is it possible....? I'm sure TPTB would have approached him, and he was top of Sportsbet's table for weeks (though not at odds below 2.0)

If so I'd be torn.  He'd be by far the highest calibre Lead TPTB have had in years, but it would be a terrible career move IMO.  He's hung out with Brooke a bit so should know the drawbacks.  And I was convinced Todd was lined up.  Perhaps two Leads, ala Bette NZ?  

He might just be taking a holiday but the timing seems VERY suss.

If he was taking a few weeks off for vacation or personal reason's I would think he'd say so. The fact that he didn't explain why is suspicious.

Great sleuthing on the Todd pics. What's that on the sleeve of his shirt? Looks like a rose.

@Bobette I love Tony too but that would be a terrible move.  He is so in demand now that I can't see the Bach on his radar.  My opinion is that he is probably making another show.

Todd is back to posting live so not on the GC after all it would appear.

Whatever the case I hope they announce the Lead soon. I want to SLEUTH!

Tony has been doing a bit of AFL boundary commentary for Fox so it'll be interesting to see if he suddenly goes missing from that role.. @Bobette seems DM has now got an article out about Tony taking time off too, and slated filming is set to begin "any day now". Although we did get a shout out from them in the article
