She can apply for a marriage permanent residence card now. Although it can be a long process but certainly is a step closer to not having to worry about the number of days a year a Canadian can visit the U.S.

I probably would have wanted to do that if I were one of the many couples who postponed their weddings, some more than once, due to Covid. There's always time for the big celebration later. I liked Jesse's comment: "Congrats you two!!!! (For the record I’m ALL about getting married 2x)"

Whatever the reason for a quick, personal wedding, congratulations to Serena and Joe! I know many couples who decided to speed things up to make things easier for the non-resident spouse in the US.

Interesting answers! I’m surprised that they didn’t do wedding bands yet. It does seem like this may be more to help with Serena's immigration.

Congratulations to them both! I'm so glad for Joe especially -- he's really paid his dues on the dating scene. I'm glad that they each found their person.

Serena is so good on air. I was thinking that when she stepped in to co-host with Becca recently.

She's an all around a great gal. She's well spoken and mature for her 25 yrs.

It's cute that she says 11 1/2 years age difference but Joe's not mature.

I like that they wanted to start a life together in a new city rather than her moving to Chicago or vice versa him to Toronto. This way they discover a new city together.
