I understand that SM audience can be unfair and harsh, but I have no idea how, when F&W play a game of "Who Would You Rather" and literally say Laura is better than the other girls that the media is painting Laura as an underdog? Totally agree with this, also Aussies love an underdog, and Laura is the polar opposite of an underdog. I don't know if this is a general Aussie thing, or just the people I know, but we don't like to have things forced on us, so the more someone says "here, look at this, isn't this the best thing ever" the more likely we are to say "stick it up your a*se, we don't want that". What a great season that was!
I have to agree about the underdog and Tara and Laura being the total opposite. I think the problem this season is not just the edit of pushing Laura but also the media and SM. It's so OTT. Very bizarre if this is how TPTB want to redeem backlash/ratings and not have more audience tune out, especially given Ten's financial problems I'd think they'd want to have the F1 have a much different edit #colormeconfused
Yes it's classic "Tall Poppy" syndrome. IMO Laura comes across as just a bit too polished/measured and this gives her an air of perfection which Aussies generally do not respond well to at all. Tara is the complete opposite - rough and uncouth and talks without a filter.
However I think people (not forum members, just people in general) may be forgetting that Matty is picking someone to be in a relationship with. Tara is great to watch on telly and my word she'd be fun at a party but I think she'd be a bit too much for Matty on a daily basis.
I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for Laura. She really hasn't done anything wrong IMO, people are just loving Tara way more and the edit they're giving her (Georgia 2.0, pecking order) isn't helping things. Despite my personal favourites, I do think she'd be a good choice for Matty.

That's what I've been confused about and asked about before, even in Laura's thread... because sometimes I think it's like she is taking a jab at Matty post-show. Same with her liking that IG post that had "bye Matty" and how he's not worth dyeing one's roots for. I have agreed with all of your posts about your confusion over Laura's comments and 'behaviour'. IA with your way of thinking Laura seems to be taking a jab at Matty. Either that or she has a sense of humour that goes completely over my head.
Glad I am not alone because I have been very very confused by it tbh. I've never seen an F1 say things like that to the media or like things like that where the butt of the joke seems to be Matty. And that's the thing for me, is that Matty is the target of many of her comments and behavior post-show when relating to the show. I am all for sense of humor and I like many of her captions on her SM but like I said, it's nothing I've seen in any F1 before #colormeconfused

It's incredibly hard to pick who Jordan Mauger is going to choose.
I certainly can't pick it.
I can't even get a handle on what he's after in a partner.
The rest of the article is spot on too in many ways, especially the assessment of Jordan that "He loves to be needed by a woman who has put it all on the line for him." I've long felt Jordan to be overly needy and a bit immature imo and one-sided in his expectations (expecting things he himself won't do) and it's just not my cup of tea considering he said he doesn't want a passenger so makes me think he wants a driver yet contradictingly wants to call the shots too. #colormeconfused.
It's too bad Jordan's done no tv/radio so I only see who he (kinda) is on SM and the show and so far I think he needs to figure out what he wants in a partner first and less focused on being on a "movie" set and talking constantly on his dates how it is like this or that movie.
Ultimately, Jordan just is not believable to me as a lead or as someone finding a partner and I still think he is just going through the motions and playing games with the girls. That's fine and par for the course for this show but it doesn't help make me invested.
I am ambivalent at this point regarding Jordan or who is F1 other than just sleuthing.
