IMO the fact is that none of us know how Kaitlyn felt during filming - we weren't there to talk with her to ask her what she was thinking, we couldn't read her mind then, and we can't read her mind now. If she says something about how she felt I don't think any of us have any basis in fact to say that she didn't. If we don't like what she wrote, if the fact that what she didn't say makes us mad, then we have the right to not read it.

Just to recap, she did not talk about their Dublin date AT ALL. She defended the sex, but she did not say anything about Nick or their date at all. She had to have some type of feelings for Nick, even if they were just physical, considering she had sex with the guy. And, then, she did not talk about his ILY AT ALL. She talked about Jared's ILY, Ben's ILY, Joe's ILY, and Shawn's ILY. I'm supposed to believe she was so apathetic to Nick's ILY that it registered below Joe's ILY? Not buying it. Either she's a Oscar-worthy actress, a sociopath who has been lying through her teeth from day one, a sex maniac...OR, someone who's downplaying her relationship with Nick to protect her insecure fiance's feelings.

I've heard people say this a lot, and I truly don't get it. I feel like Kaitlyn/Shawn got one of the best "love stories" in this franchise, as their fans got to see her give him a FIR, give him the first kiss, say that this is the closest she's felt to love at first sight, tell him that she's falling in love with him after the first date, and say that it feels that her husband telling her ILY for the first time. Their fans haven't had to hear K tell anyone else that she loves them (like Sean/Cat fans did), make future plans with the F2 (like Nikki/JP fans did), and deal with the fact that their F1 was second choice (like Chris/Des fans did). I think that TPTB did the best they could with the material that K/S gave them. If K was going to pre-FS sex with another guy and freakout about it, of course they were going to show it. If S was going to have panic attacks every other day, of course they were going to show it. I don't think that they got any worse than past couples, and I would actually argue that they got much better.

And, lastly, it's important to remember that this isn't a personal DVD for them to remember their love story. They are merely players in a reality show whose main purpose is to entertain 7 million people. Kaitlyn didn't get paid to fall in love; she got paid to be the "prize" in a dramatic search for love that TPTB could make a show out of. The blogs are not her personal journal, they are a part of her job.

Interesting because I find their love story to be one of the more tainted ones. I don't think fans will ever let either of them forget it and the show seems to be doing their best in that regard. Does anyone remember what Sean said to Lindsay when he rejected her? I don't find that example comparable really as it was barely a bump in the road.

I'd compare this to Ben and Courtney because Des/Chris IMO weren't thrown under the bus character wise.

I think it just depends who you ask. Most people I know IRL thought that TPTB were embarrassed by Des/Chris since he was her second, last-minute choice and TPTB didn't even care enough about them to give them a wedding. I know that's not true, but that's what I've heard a bunch of people say. I think the fact that Sean/Cat are so likeable and are the only Bachelor couple to make it has definitely won people over, but at the time, I remember people being like "wait, who's Catherine?".

I would say that K/S are most similar to JP/Nikki, because I think that Courtney was the villian and I don't think that Shawn is looked at as a villain by most of the viewers. Most people I see are {#}teamShawn{/#} and think that he's a genuine guy who's truly in love with Kaitlyn. I think that ocean sex with Clare is similar to sex with Nick, and I think that most people thought that Clare/Nick were the "villians" of the season. I would also say that Kaitlyn is similar to JP, as she started out as a fan favorite and just became this sex-obsessed lead who repeatedly put her foot in her mouth. I would also predict that the post-show lead/F2 dynamic is the same, but I guess we'll see!

Very interesting information that I almost missed seeing.

IMO Kaitlyn could very easily have decided to distance herself from Nick - either because Shawn wanted her to - or because she wanted to do it for Shawn. But if that's all it was I can't come up with a logical reason that Jillian would have done a 180 as dramatic as you describe - the most I would think Jillian would do was be neutral to support Kaitlyn.

IMO for Jillian to have done such an about face it's more logical that Jillian learned something about Nick from Kaitlyn and it's what she learned that caused her to do a 180. If so then I really do expect the ATFR could be fireworks - not between Shawn and Nick but between Kaitlyn and Nick.

To be honest, with Kaitlyn's current actions I don't trust her. She seems to be having a meltdown. I don't say this because of her sudden "hatred" or whatever it is for Nick. I say it because she spoiled her season, which could have been an accident, but then she continues every chance she gets to spoil it. To me it seems like she is desperately trying to prove she is with Shawn and happy. Then there is the drinking to excess, a lot. Her constant need to snapchat and periscope, I don't follow but it sounds like it is hours everyday. Finally, the fact that she is engaging and searching out people who say anything that isn't 100% positive to her. All those things together just point to a woman on the edge to me. She honestly reminds me a lot of my sister who was bipolar and was in her manic phases right before she would crash into her depressive phase. She was everywhere and needed constant attention and it was exhausting and honestly in my sister's case without medication there was not a single thing she could do about it. I am probably wrong, but the more and more I read here about her SM activities and the way she is acting it just seems really out of control.

Maybe Nick did something, I can see him calling her out on her dishonesty with him and maybe even telling Shawn that about all their pre-show activity. If he did that I can see her getting pissed. It would be a petty move and it would have been something that could have sent Shawn over the edge. That is the problem with lying like Kaitlyn did about how well she knew Nick before the show, you live in fear that the lie will come out. Otherwise, I have no idea what Nick could have done. But to be honest with how on edge I see her actions right now, I could see Nick just having done the stuff we see on SM and her way over-reacting. If that is it, then I have to say, grow up Kaitlyn.

Truth be told, she picked a guy who despises Nick and who himself has avoided the truth with her, so I can see her acting just as irrational as Shawn was during the show towards Nick. Especially as the season progressed and Shawn got to see for himself that Kaitlyn was happy and thrilled to have Nick there and that she was in the instigator of lots of their physical contact. If Shawn got pissed, then I can see Kaitlyn blaming Nick instead of herself. Even when she told Shawn about the pre-FS sex, she minimized how into it she was and then he got to see, wow, she lied to me. And he got to see that she had sex about 2 days after telling him he was the one. So I don't trust that the dislike of Nick isn't partially because she is getting in trouble for her lies and blaming Nick for it. JMO

Agreed but it's scandalous because there were other dudes involved and this isn't how the show goes, plus she lied about the extent of her involvement with him. Also, she says she doesn't want to discuss Nick with Shawn and Shawn with Nick, but continually brings Nick up with Shawn for some amazing, unknown and unclear reasons. She just handled things poorly on the all around with this Nick situation imo.

Kaitlyn loves Shawn's possessive behavior, IMO it makes her feel special and that he really wants her and loves her. I find it crazy and would tell a friend whose boyfriend was acting that way to run. So I do think that Kaitlyn eggs Shawn on. I also think Kaitlyn as I said above it getting into trouble the more that Shawn sees and finds out that Kaitlyn didn't tell the whole truth and kind of lied the whole time about her involvement with Nick. She didn't do anything wrong to know him beforehand and have had a relationship with him, but by minimizing that relationship, she created a lie that I bet has been coming back to haunt her for a while now.

She is giddy, happy with Shawn and lashing out at anyone who isn't 100% playing along with her fairytale. To me it is the actions of a woman on edge who seems like she is about to crack. JMO

IMO Jillian doesn't use those kinds of words freely especially since she's been through the process and knows what happens. Jillian must of been told somehting really solid and important that Nick did/said/or something transpired by Nick for her to know that Kait was done wrong by Nick. IMO, IF Kait and Shawn are nice to Nick, it is likely cause it speaks more to their character than the point of Nick being deserving of it. All IMO of course!

IMO RS's word is not gospel, and I think that tptb would go to enormous lengths to sabotage his credibility, make him look like a fool, and get the last laugh. Unfortunately, thanks to Kaitlin, I think it backfired, and she just blew the big surprise ending... no pun intended!

in last week's live webchat (last Thursday), when someone commented something like, "I hope you're right with this season's spoiler/ending!" RS responded with, "you don't need to hope I'm right because I am."

But THIS Thursday when someone again commented on the accuracy of his spoiler, he seemed less sure, he said something along the lines of, "I'm only as good as my sources, and usually they're pretty good" rather than the usual boastful, i-can-never-be-wrong type of tone/speech he usually spouts. It made me pause, but I was SO HOPING for an ending where Kaitlyn chooses someone that I chalked it up to me grasping at straws.

I think he knows way less about this season than prior seasons. And I think the show went out of its way to keep at that way... unusually out of its way. I don't think all of the surprises of the season are over yet.

Won't it be funny/amazing if Nick's the sex guy and she confesses to Shawn, he gets over, and then they still decide to be together? I would love that ending... a truly Kaitlyn worthy ending, I think. She herself has said, the guys she's with needs to take her as she is - and she would've pursued her options, both with Nick and Shawn, and made a decision to be with Shawn and he makes a decision to be with Kaitlyn, flaws, society and all be damned. interesting train of thought HGL - reminds me when they used to do this videologs with contestants on this site that I think the production team was running and JP was VERY defensive of Ashley when it came to all the bad press she got because of Bentley

just browsed through shawn's sm and he used to be very MIA previous to being on the show (hadn't tweeted since 2013) but then in context of what K is dealing with in her situation more recently ....it's interesting that a majority of his other posts seem #teamshawn and lighthearted

I really would have liked to have seen more of Ron on the past season. The short convo we were privy to peaked my interest.
Hopefully we will have more convos and less antics this time around. I really like the UK series "First Dates" which is just a few couples per epi having dinner conversation. Surprisingly fascinating.
