The Bachelorette: Imagine Ashley's New Life with Our Printable Paper Dolls



Hometown dates! How nuts are hometown dates? They're
like a big blind date with someone's whole family, and Monday's outings
gave Ashley the opportunity to try on the lifestyles associated with
each of her her top four contenders.



Over the course of the evening, we learned a lot about the three men now
remaining, and the only way I can process it all is by using the same
method I use to process information in my own life: by mentally
organizing appropriate outfits. Feel free to print and cut out the
outfit/lifestyle and bachelor you would choose if YOU were Ashley, and
check out how she'll look in her Brand New Life.





















The fact that Constantine grew up slinging pizza-pies only bolsters my
theory that he's secretly fat. I think when he has his shirt off, he
painstakingly flexes his fat, and then when he puts that hoodie on, he
exhales. But be that as it may, his life looks awesome! Constantine's
mom made it clear that Constantine is not relocating—so Ashley can start
her new residency in Cummings, Georgia by marching around town with a
Cummings, Georgia sweatshirt. She can also look forward to moonlighting
at the family restaurant, if only so she can hang out with the clique of
rad waitresses. And if she's going to be hanging out with in-laws who
make it a habit to stand up and throw money into the air, I suggest she
find a skirt with which she can easily catch money while she's locking
arms and dancing in a circle with forty of her new cousins.














Ben F really seems to have it all: looks, free wine, wine whenever he
wants, a giant warehouse of wine. And his family looks pretty loaded,
living out in Sonoma and eating dinner while wearing multiple shiny
belts. I've included a sophisticated, belted outfit that Ashley can wear
for her next casual family dinner, as well as a J. Crew catalog—because
Ben F.'s people look like the sort who order all their clothes from J.
Crew and aren't sure how to be happy. I mean, there are some warm rich
people out there theoretically, but his mom was frosty (when he said he
should have been a better son, she was like, "thank you for admitting
that") and his sister was cold and weirdly possessive of him. It didn't
help that he told Ashley that if mom and sis didn't like her, he would
never besmirch his eyeballs with the sight of her again. Hopefully the
Snuggie will Ashley warm during long evenings of Ben F.'s sister
reminding her that she's the one who signed Ben up to be The Bachelor
in the first place. And a "Help with In-Laws" book should come in
handy. Finally, I've also included a girl's version of Ben's look last
night: the trim pants and dark boating shoes without socks, because a
rich-sporty look and heels are no one's friend in the vineyard.













JP was so much fun, and his family was so lovely. I was thoroughly
expecting him to bring her home to a famiy of half-cat-half-humans, but
actually he's just a cat-looking human. Genes! What can you do? How did I
not guess that Ashley was a figure skater? Between JP's enthusiasm for
roller-rinking and his mother's ability to put together a winning
headshot (that giant picture of JP for his bar mitzvah—amazing!), I
smell a new career for Ashley that fuses her love of dance with roller
skating and seventies glamour. Do it, Ashley! Bring Roller into the next
millennium! And as long as JP and Ashley are pursuing her career, they
can save money by having Ashley shave JP's hair regularly (I've included
a smock for her), lest that cloud of mullet resurge from his
feline-esque head. The only drawback I see here is that JP's whole
family seems to be REALLY INSECURE that Ashley is going to break JP's
heart, because apparently he had a BAD breakup with a TOTAL SHE-WITCH.
So I've included a "TAKEN" shirt so they know she's not running around
town trying to fetch men. Maybe she should even go with the looser
version, which says even more distinctly "I Got A Man." That should
endear her to Momma-in-law.




Also, let's have a moment of silence for Ames. His house (a frickin'
carriage ride through magnolia orchards?!) was actually nicer than most
of the dates ABC arranged for Ashley this season. Why did she let him
go? Maybe she was intimidated by his money, looks, and intelligence.
