My sons went to an all boys Jesuit high school - and about one-third of the students were non-Catholic.    So I wouldn't jump to conclusions about Chris' religious affiliation based on where he went to school.  And, I think he and Des attend a non-denominational Christian church in Seattle.  I do believe they'll have an ordained minister marry them, rather than a Chris Harrison-type minister, which is so common these days.

Very true! I went to all catholic school and many of my friends, but didn't practice it. All our parents thought that Catholic school offered the best education. Even now, catholic schools and hospitals are considered the best in quality and pricing, so many parents used them, not necessarily because they practice Catholicism.JMO

I wonder if January 11th, the date on their wedding registry when it first launched, is in fact the date. They later changed it to a random date in 2016 likely because media sites jumped on it.

Hmm, pretty sure she wouldn't be telling media that the wedding is in January if it's on TV. ABC would not have that happen.

^No they wouldn't. The couples aren't allowed to even talk about the wedding (date, location, details, etc,) until ABC tells them they can which is after an announcement has been made. The fact she said when and where publicly makes it obvious to me that ABC isn't a part of it.

Since the wedding is in California, I bet they were going to televise it but ABC/ TP backed out. I wouldn't doubt the franchise is paying for the wedding and are still going to record it and they'll use it at their convenience. Kind of stinks for Des and Chris, when they've aired every other wedding...rather anit-climatic. But as long as they're happy, that's what matters... and hopefully they won't have the debt of a wedding.

^ I think it's possible, I assumed they wouldn't have a destination wedding if it wasn't televised, but I suppose they can have it paid for by someone else or even ABC if they want parts of it for future use.

I still think the franchise is paying for it, and is involved. We shall see.. I am thinking the date will be announced on ABC around October, November. JMO. And, yes, I know, I am in the minority of this.
