I feel like there is a Carly&Evan sitcom going on in the middle of BIP. They, as a couple and individually, seem to get oodles of screen time devoted to convo that is fleshing them out more than any other couple.
Does anyone else think likewise?

I agree. I feel like I "know" them better than any of the other couples. They've had a continuous storyline and haven't faded into the background. Perhaps it's not such a bad thing that Carly wasn't initially attracted to him and didn't want to make out with him. Means they actually had to talk to each other.

Completely agree I feel the most invested in them as a couple as I feel like we are actually seeing a story arc.

Why don't they have a fan thread!? I feel so sorry for myself that I find them more interesting then the other couples.

Well, for one they each still have their faces intact.
Even though one of them has had medical attention twice, neither seem to be foaming at the mouth, ripping their clothes off and growling. So it appears that they are up to date with their shots. That's a good thing.

ON ABC’S ‘BACHELOR IN PARADISE’

“Episode 304A” – The drama continues for the hopeful contestants in the gorgeous town of Sayulita, Mexico, after the dramatic cliffhanger, on the next episode of the highly anticipated “Bachelor in Paradise,” MONDAY, AUGUST 22 (8:00–10:00 p.m. EDT).  

In the hours leading up to the third rose ceremony, a frustrated bachelor continues to deal with the emotional breakdown of his crying ex and her inability to move on from him. After he makes it clear that he has moved on with a new girl, the crushed bachelorette clings to the hope that she can stay in Paradise long enough to find someone to help her move past her perfect man!

As Paradise fills up with happy couples, four single ladies look to the remaining Canadian wildcard, eager to secure a rose and the chance to find love in Paradise! The power-hungry “Papa Bear” is wooed with baked cakes and kisses, but not a single girl is confident that she will get his rose. As the rose ceremony commences, two devastated bachelorettes are sent packing, but the journey may not be over for one determined drama queen, as she returns to beg the cast to let her stay.

A new week brings double trouble for the couples, as two lesser-known bachelors turn up back-to-back looking for dates. The men are feeling the pressure, as the two attractive arrivals stir up interest in the ladies of Paradise, with a handsome lamp-bearer turning the head of one half of the strongest couple in Paradise. The tattooed bachelor asks an excited bachelorette to accompany him on his date, while the hot hairstylist takes a chance and asks a coupled-up cutie. Afraid of hurting her current suitor but unsure of the strength of their relationship, the hesitant bachelorette struggles with the decision of whether or not to go on the date. She finally decides to take a chance on her new interest, wounding the sullen bachelor (Jared), who begins to worry that karma is getting back at him for all his failed romances in Paradise past.

The second double date of the season sends the foursome on a party boat adventure. The physical intimacy is strong for one hot and heavy pair while another disappointed bachelor learns that his chosen date has been thinking about her other suitor and can’t wait to get back to him. Meanwhile, an opportunistic bachelorette takes advantage of her romantic rival being away on the date and makes her move to recapture her dream guy’s heart.

Later, a third bachelor arrives and asks a reserved blonde on a romantic date where they ride horses to a picturesque waterfall. Back at the house, one blossoming couple retreat for a private couples’ massage where the nervous bachelor professes his love.

An enviable couple’s bond is tested when the tempted woman gives in to her attraction to one of the newest arrivals and tells him that he is her ideal man. The shocked bachelor is hurt when he learns that his ladylove is interested in getting to know another guy. Will one of Paradise’s strongest couples be able to survive this relationship roadblock? Will the undecided bachelorette give up her instant connection for a chance with the newest arrival?

In “Episode 304B,” which airs TUESDAY, AUGUST 23 (8:00–9:00 p.m. EDT), the story picks up as the shattered New Yorker sits down to talk with his doubting bachelorette about the state of their relationship after she had admitted that she was attracted to a new arrival. During their tearful conversation, the crushed bachelor reveals how his feelings had been growing but her wandering eye has made it clear that the feelings aren’t being matched, and he feels he has no other choice than to end things between them and exit Paradise. Leaving the weeping bachelorette behind, he says his goodbyes to the rest of the cast.

Still reeling from the first big breakup in Paradise, the cast is reenergized when a popular couple appears, helping to reaffirm everyone’s belief in how Paradise can lead to love. The pair brings with them a date card and the opportunity for one couple to follow their path to love from the previous season. The couples sit down with the husband and wife, hoping to impress and obtain a romantic date, but some relationships are strained as doubts arise for two couples, forcing them to have difficult conversations later in the day. One couple is chosen, leaving the unlucky-in-love bachelorette hurt as she continues to watch her crush go off with another woman.

Happy to leave their drama back at the house, the blossoming couple (head out to recapture the romance of one of Paradise’s most successful couples. During the romantic dinner, they address the obstacles they are having in their relationship and agree that the teary-eyed bachelorette back in the house is holding them back.

Meanwhile, one hot-and-cold couple receive a date card and get a chance to cleanse their relationship and find clarity in a temazcal sweat lodge where they admit to their developing feelings and the possibility of a future together.

Driven by jealousy, the melodramatic bachelorette uses her friendship to plant seeds of doubt in the unsuspecting bachelor about the woman of his affection. Fed up, the usually collected bachelorette goes to confront the high-strung crier after learning of her sabotaging behavior. The frustrated bachelor tries to mediate between his friend and his love interest but is left wishing that someone would arrive to take the dramatic bachelorette off his hands.

Continuing to feel rejected, the tearful bachelorette prays for a man to arrive and ease her broken heart – just as a handsome radio DJ steps onto the beach. Will this new arrival be the man to help her move on from her unrequited love? Will this self-proclaimed princess finally find her happily ever after in Paradise?

Over the course of six weeks, we’ll follow these former bachelors and bachelorettes as they explore new relationships while living together in Mexico, in a secluded and dreamy paradise. America will watch as they fall in love or go through renewed heartbreak. “Bachelor in Paradise” will feature shocking twists, surprises, unexpected guests and some of the most unlikely relationships in “Bachelor” history. There’s no telling who will find love this season, just like Jade and Tanner did last year with their engagement and subsequent wedding.

(Jared) - odd that the above named him given everyone else is just a "clue"

LOL I think ABC writers just forgot to remove his name when they were writing the storyline for the synopsis. I guess this is a step above actually copying and pasting written material from past seasons, which they have done before.

Why Isn't Chris Harrison Hosting Bachelor in Paradise's Live After-Show? "It Wasn't My Call"

. . . . A source close to the host tells E! News Harrison is "heartbroken" over not being asked to host the after-show. "This is the first Bachelor show that he hasn't been involved with," our insider explains. "He's really upset. Chris had every intention of being involved with the show."

So what happened? ABC had no comment, but a source close to the show tells us Collins was chosen as the main host as she didn't have the same access and knowledge Harrison had about the relationships and storylines on BIP.

"They decided to try having a super fan host it," our source says. "They wanted someone who wasn't on the island and who didn't already know what happened."
