Idk who's shading who here but apparently folks that have been following Aaron for years claimed that his response was "classic Aaron shade." No surprise. I doubt a rift like this happens when only one side is in the wrong, even if the other side is a magical pro player worshipped by legions of fans. Imo.

Personally I didn't see any shade from Aaron's reply. 'I'm not going to comment on it in public, but I wish Jordan good luck' just doesn't count as shade in any form or any way, IMO.

The competition line was where I saw the shade. But I've probably listened to a thousand different interviews of his over the years so maybe I'm just more well versed with how he comments on things. Lol

And a slight smirk at the end. Yep, shade.

Exactly! People will read into it whatever they want to. There's no definitive answer to this situation.

I kinda thought it was shade but the alternative answer is, maybe TB is not his kind of show and in gist, it is a competition for the love of one person.

He's not the first or the last to refer to it as a competition.  Oftentimes the F1 is referred to as the winner and I've even called the guys/girls contestants not just cast before.

Personally I don't care if it was shade because I could careless about the drama between the family members.  Real life and my own big family can be more drama than I care to deal with at times.  I don't want to brother worrying about theirs. And I agree, everyone will interrupt it differently.  JMO

I personally think too much is being read into him using  the word competition, as has been mentioned we ourselves call them them winner and contestants....and they do have competitions on almost every group date for more time with the lead and they all try to do each other at meet and greet.... So seriously .... How is calling it a competition considered shade?   ( for the record I hate the term shade.... when did it take on this meaning anyway?  Am i that old haha )

I think it was his use of the word "appropriate." To me he was saying that if it's not appropriate to talk about then what the rest of his family did was inappropriate. IA with him, but he didn't quite make it to the high road there.

I think seeing the actual video gives a different impression than just the quote. Imo
