It(the visa's) will work out. I have no doubt. Like I said many pages earlier--if the USA took my mother-in-law in for the last 66 yrs, I can't imagine normal people having issues.

It's a different story if you are living there part of the year, working, and proving that you are contributing to the country as opposed to someone who just wants to move.

If it was that easy, I'd be on a beach with cabana boy long time ago.

In Vanessa's case, I don't think any action needs to be taken right away. She can go to the US for a maximum of 6 months in a 12 month period. That's a lot of visits or a long stay.

I think the problem with living abroad for a Canadian Citizen is not with Canada, but with the USA, mainly after 9/11. If you were to live say in Brasil, or Holland, etc You'd remain a Canadian for any amount of years you choose, and would still benefit from all your Citizen privileges. You also will have to file your income tax returns each year from wherever you are of course. I am going by my own personal experience, having been both, a Perm Resident, and a Canadian Citizen.

These kids will figure it out, I am sure! One might have to renounce a bit more than the other, but that is love: compromise, right?

Wow 5'3, she's short. Hate the dress too but seriously, I rarely like anyone's look that first night. Douche that Juan Pablo was, I understood why Sharleen stood out to him so much that first night, just based on what she was wearing. Because it's usually bad shiny prom fashion. I judge most of the women looks after the first episode where they're wearing more casual clothes and less makeup. Though I still think Vanessa's makeup and hair are gorgeous, ugly dress aside.

Yes, and she coordinates with Nick, perfectly!!  

What I like about her dress is that it is totally different and edgy vs pageant, prom girlesque. I bet that helped make her stand out against all the other brunettes that first night.
