EXCLUSIVE LOOK: The diamond ring Matty J will gift his chosen lady Will Matty J pop the question
That is the question everyone is asking ahead of tonight’s The Bachelor Australia finale, after Matty J was seen flashing a diamond ring during the promo of tonight’s episode that aired last night.

Now, TV WEEK can exclusively reveal the stunning sparkler Matty J had designed for his chosen lady – and it’s absolutely breathtaking.

Created by Larsen Jewellery, who specialise in custom made engagement and wedding rings; the piece is made in 18ct white gold and set with a stunning 1.30oct oval diamond.




It also features 32 diamonds set in to the shoulders of the ring, and a delicate band with intricate woven wire detail underneath the centre diamond.

“Matty wanted the ring to be feminine and elegant,” Kate Reid, Senior Jeweller at Larsen Jewellery, tells TV WEEK.

“This ring is the perfect example of the way that our team of jewellers work closely with each customer, in this case, Matty J, to create a piece of jewellery that is personal, unique and that they will love for a lifetime.”

So just why did Matty go with this particular design?

“It is often suggested that the entwined wire symbolises a future with two lives woven into one,” Kate explains, adding Matty selected the oval cut diamond himself.

“He was very involved in the whole process and we worked together to sketch out and finalise the design.”

Having created and designed wedding bands for actress Teresa Palmer and her husband Mark Webber, Kate says despite the quick turnaround, her team managed to deliver the goods.

“Our design appointment with Matty lasted a little over an hour and our jewellers started making the ring on the same say,” Kate reveals.

“Let’s just say we pulled off a miracle to get it ready in time for Matty,” Kate laughs.

While rumours are rife Matty will drop to one knee during tomorrow night’s finale and ask his chosen lady to marry him, the 31-year-old certainly didn’t deny it when we put the question to him.

“There are people who propose in six weeks. You think ‘How the hell does that make sense?’ But I think when you find the right one, you know,” Matty says.

IMO that's because she's intelligent, has a genuine interest in people, and listens when they talk, whereas I get the impression Laura prefers to be the one doing the talking.  JMO

Well Florence herself said that Laura loves to talk and is a chatterbox so I don't think you are alone in that impression of Laura. Other girls in the house said the same thing too and that Laura had this way of talking over you...Plus "pecking order" comments anyone? Even when watching Laura do interviews with Elise today Laura seemed like she was talking over and more than Elise. Laura has a MeLaura vibe about her that as long as Matty jumps when she says jump things will be fine imo. Otherwise, the QUEEN of reverse parking will let Matty have it. That's really lovely! Although the bar was set pretty low by Sam W, so anything that's better than that monstrosity looks pretty good!

And that's what I can't understand. Laura does talk over people (as evidenced in her interviews today) and it just sounds like the polar opposite to what Matty said he was looking for. Could you really see Matty's Mum describe her as Gentle? JMO

Honestly, I don't understand it either. I can't see his mum describing Laura that way. Elise, definitely. Who knows though if his mum actually said that or not or said it to misdirect or whatever. It's all just   jmo
