12/31: Wuhan case became public... note Ohio is a sister "state" to Hubei where Wuhan is located and many industries in our state have ties to Hubei and Wuhan
Dr. Amy heard about it on a call with global CDC health folks first week of January. She also is a professor in global health.
1/13: US Case #2 returned to USA.
1/15: Symptoms shown case #1. ODH Pandemic planning began
1/16: First case in Japan
1/17: CDC Health Advisory published with very strict definitions of virus
1/20: Washington state confirmed Case #1, Case #2 identified/confirmed by CDC Chicago, first case in South Korea
Late January: First cases in France, Australia, Canada
1/27: First case in Germany
Late January, 2 students from Miami University were under investigation for the virus per the CDC definition. Specimens were sent to CDC.
2/1: Definition (PUI) of virus was extended to include people with severe symptoms, hospitalization after travel to Hubei Province, China
2/2: Test results returned for Miami U students, negative
During February 8 others under investigation were tested with negative results
2/3: Travel restrictions were implemented
2/7: Received test kits from CDC that were not usable. 2 of the 3 reagents in the kit did not work. Ohio was one of the handful of states to receive these kits. No testing could be handled by labs in Ohio because of it so had to rely on CDC testing.
February: Ohio monitored during this time because of everything going on with the various cruise ships, etc.
2/27: First press conference
2/28: CDC changed PUI again
3/3 & 3/4: Decisions started being made such as number of people in mass gatherings
3/5: Test kits received. Takes 2 days to validate. Kits were set up on 3/6 and validated by the 8th.
3/9: First positives.

1/30/20: the International Health Regulations Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization declared the outbreak of COVID-19 a public health emergency of international concern.
1/31/20: HHS Sec Azar declared a public health emergency for the US to aid the nation's healthcare community in responding to COVID-19.
2/1/20: ODH issued a statewide Health Alert Network to provide the local health departments and healthcare providers with updated guidance for COVID-19 and revised Person Under Investigation (PUI) criteria.
2/3/20: ODH trained over 140 personnel to staff a call center of COVID-19, in the event it was needed.
2/5/20: ODH began updating and notifying the media of the number of PUIs in Ohio every Tuesday and Thursday

3/2/20: ODH activated a Joint Information Center to coordinate COVID-19 communications.

This is why I am glad I live in Ohio. My state has been pro-active not reactive like some others. We still have cases but not in the numbers that some other areas do.

The Bachelor - The Greatest Seasons – Ever - Discussion

Another good one would be Byron/Mary's FRC. If I remember right, he learned enough Spanish so her family would understand what he was saying. That was a couple that I really liked and was sorry for everything that happened between them. I'm glad both of them are in better places now.

Brad and Deanna's seasons actually weren't that bad. When he didn't choose either girl, I was in shock... although I always thought Bettina was the one he really wanted. And, Deanna brought us Jason whose season saved the franchise.

Deanna's season was the season of the changing flowers on the FRC stand. Sleuthing on that was intense. Awwww... the good old days.

I watched every bachelor season up through Brad #2. Skipped Ben F, Sean L, Juan Pablo and Chris. I think I did watch the FRC for Chris though. Did the same for Colton, only watched the final episode.

For the bachelorettes, I watched them all through Emily. I skipped Desiree, Andi, Kaitlyn and then Rachel. For Desiree, Andi and Rachel, I watched the final episode.

I am beginning to think that there is a silver lining to Peter being the lead this season even though the season was a sh*t show.

He has seen the true dysfunction within his family and just might be able to deal with it, hopefully through therapy and a lot of support from others. And, someday, he will have the relationship and family that he truly wants.

Also, did you know Peter has at least 1 sister? I didn't. That little nugget was dropped in a comment on a post at reddit by her as she mentioned Barb is her step-mother. I may be stretching here, but I’m thinking that there was a private ‘talk’ from Peter to his mother and family, very recently,
to ‘ prepare ‘ them that he would be with Madison that night, and maybe not come back home after the AFTR but be with her instead. ( he is so naive and gullible). Who knows when and what was said, but my guess is that Barb did not appreciate that and used her crying and begging and manipulating to scare her boy from doing something so reprehensible...and was p / o that he would hold his own - the worse thing to do to a controlling person - and let’s just say it didn’t end well.
I’m just thinking there was probably a ‘ trigger’ that we don’t know about and is kept private for obvious reasons, that sent this woman over the line in that extreme way. If she feels like she’s losing her ‘ grip’ on him emotionally and he is making choices that challenges her views or wishes, that is a reaction I would expect from her given what we have seen from her so far.
That is how the cycle of abuse continues, from threats and intimidation to instill fear and get the other ‘in line’, gaining control, verbal or emotional abuse, dramatic apology, and back again. She was clearly HOT and ready yesterday and her shooting hate at them was her very twisted way to regain some form of control.
It’s all together very disturbing and so sad to know how these comments and the intent behind them hurt and cause irreparable damages in the trust that exist between people. I do hope Peter and Madison seek or have professional help available for them to confide in and get support from. This has gone on for so long, it’s almost comfortable for Peter, except now he is GROWING up and away from these toxic behaviors. Let’s hope he is able to stay centered and determined.

IMO what triggered Barb was a few thousand SM comments criticizing her absurdly stupid and classless behavior on Monday nite. She made reference to that on Tuesday and had her little posse there to support her ignorant TV tirade #2 on Tuesday. All IMO.
