I don't know if that's a clue, watchTV3. On the Bachelor they have them talk in present tense even when they're talking about something from the past. I imagine most reality shows do the same so there aren't clues.

Ok I didn't know that, but she also said "we spoke about it the other day", like they speak to each other often? Maybe I'm reading too much into this.

That is LA - no palm trees in central Jersey. Me thinks the producers and the participants are gaming us. But who knows and I am almost at the point, who cares?

I tend agree.  They are VERY uncomfortable to watch, but I tend to want to blame Jess for that.  I feel like she knows how to push his buttons and she does it to her advantage so she can appear the victim.  I give Ryan huge credit for walking away to cool off rather than hit her.  I keep seeing people say he is an abuser or will become one, but I don't agree.  I was married to an abuser for 14 years and if my ex had walked away to calm down, he may not have hit me, and we may have been able to solve our problems in a mature way

I, too, don't think Ryan is hopeless - nor are Jess and Ryan's chances. Though they DO have an uphill battle ahead of them if they ARE to work out. (Happily the video looks as if they are making positive movements in that direction.)

But...

Just in the same way that volunteer workers/Peace Corp/etc and those in desperate situations (domesticly and in third world countries who truly don't have anything to eat) would find it totally insensitive that some well-fed person says that they are "just starving"....

Or the addict struggling moment by moment (for the rest of their lives) to live sober would find a person saying "I am so addicted to chocolate" or "beauty gurus on YouTube are my addiction" incredibly insensitive...

Calling any heated arguments between a man and a woman abuse - is a real slight to those who have SUFFERED and continue to suffer from REAL abuse. Not every man or woman who raises their voice or has a hot temper is an abuser.

Just had to voice my feelings (of which I have a past history of) on this one. - i hope it doesn't get edited out.

Unfortunately I think it means they are not together.
They stopped following each other on instagram recently and she posted this quote which IMO someone wouldn't post if she decided to stay with a guy who is being labeled (unjustly in my mind) as an abuser.

As a side note ... I don't buy her explanation that she favorites everyone's tweets to acknowledge them and so that the person who tweeted it knows that she read it. What is that doing besides encouraging cyber bullying. There are some tweets she hasn't favorited so why favorite a tweet that calls Ryan all types of mean names. Just my opinion but I don't believe in an eye for an eye and I feel like she's doing it to get back at him. Her doing that is prob the main reason I no longer think they stayed together.

I agree.
It's another example of a passive-aggressive attitude.  Let others fight a "battle" while you sit back and look more and more a victim to the others who jump to conclusions.

I will NOT demean women going to abuse or in bad situations (been there), but I think that abuse is becoming a 5 cent word for anything that makes one uncomfortable.  One needs to find the right way to handle issues, and Jess needs to (1) build up her confidence and inner self-worth, (2) speak up from the beginning, (3) not to wait until she has had too much, (4) not be passive-aggressive, (5) don't fall back on the I'm a victim mentality, (6) if it really WAS so bad - SHE should have left.  If it really WAS a danger, SHE should have called the producers, experts, etc and made a statement by leaving.  She had people there all the time.  If it really were abusive they would have stopped it.  Instead, she is being bathed in the glory of the "inspirational victim" by facebook and SM folks who  (again, trying to hold myself back)......

Not a fan of hers and don't find her actions and inactions inspirational in the least.
God Bless real victims of abuse...may they find a way out.
