The Final Six Men

Monday at 8/7c on ABC

ASHLEY HEBERT TAKES THE FINAL SIX MEN ON A SPECTACULAR TRIP TO TAIWAN AS THE CRUCIAL HOMETOWN DATES LOOM, AND EMILY MAYNARD BREAKS HER SILENCE ABOUT HER RELATIONSHIP WITH BRAD WOMACK IN AN EXCLUSIVE FIRST INTERVIEW, ON ABC'S "THE BACHELORETTE."

The pressure mounts as Ashley must decide which four men will have the opportunity to take her home to meet their families. Taiwan, the "hidden jewel of Asia," is the romantic city where Ashley will make her most important decision yet. She still has serious questions about some of the men, but must be ready to let two of them go forever. Will she make the right choice? And in a revealing, emotional tell-all update, Emily Maynard, the single mom who captured Brad Womack's heart, will finally speak out about the state of her relationship with Brad, on "The Bachelorette," MONDAY, JULY 11 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on ABC.

A reluctant Emily sits down with Chris Harrison to explain how she confronted her struggle with living in the public eye. Then she reveals whether or not she and Brad are engaged - all in hopes of putting to rest the rumors swirling around her.

When the guys arrive at the Regent Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan, Constantine discovers that he has the first one-on-one date with Ashley Hebert. The couple head out to the Taiwanese countryside on an old fashioned train. They arrive in a quaint village where they take in the sights and partake of a local custom, decorating a paper lantern with their wishes. Ashley wishes for romance, but will her wish come true? Later that night after dinner, they release their love lantern into the sky, marveling as it is joined by hundreds of others. It's the ideal romantic setting. Will Ashley get her wish, or will this relationship flicker and die?

The Bachelorette: The Final Six Men - Ben F & Ashley

The next day, Ben F. meets Ashley at a breathtaking national park. They hop aboard a scooter and zip past majestic waterfalls and magnificent mountains, holding on to each other for dear life. Later at dinner, this cautious, but sensitive bachelor finally expresses his true feelings for Ashley, which sincerely touches her. But is it enough to guarantee Ben F. a hometown date?

However, the next morning when Ben F. doesn't return from his date, it drives one of the bachelors into an emotional frenzy. When Ben F. finally does return, the jealous man storms out of the room, unable to control his emotions.

On an unusual three-on-one date, Ames, J.P. and Lucas join Ashley in Taipei's world famous photography district. She informs them that they will be dressing up in traditional wedding attire and taking customary Taiwanese wedding photos with her. As they kiss and pose for the cameras, the envious man continues to simmer with jealousy. All three men impress Ashley, but only one will get a rose guaranteeing him a hometown date. Who will it be?

Ashley's last date of the week is with Ryan. She escorts him to a local temple and then to the historic Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Square. It's a magical setting, but Ashley needs to make sure there is a romantic connection with this optimistic and energetic bachelor.

By the end of the week, Ashley breaks down under the pressure of having to send home two amazing -- but now shocked and heartbroken -- men. It's time to return to the States with the four remaining men, who are only too happy to have the chance to introduce Ashley to their families and continue the quest to win her heart.

Jealousy Ensues on 'Bachelorette' as Ashley Hebert Chooses Final Four for Hometown Dates

The docile J.P. began to get agitated on Monday night's all-new "Bachelorette." The frontrunner had a hard time sharing the woman he's falling in love with and watching her intimate moments with other men.

The instability first arose when Ben's one-on-one date lasted through the entire night. J.P.'s imagination was racing as to what happened during that stretch of private time. To make matters worse, he had trouble witnessing Ashley Hebert kiss Ames and Lucas on a group date, in which they were taking mock wedding photos. J.P. felt like a jilted groom.

Before the date was over, J.P. pulled Ashley aside to express his concerns. He got the positive reinforcement he was looking for by being offered the one rose allotted for the group outing, leaving Lucas and Ames to await their fates at the official rose ceremony. J.P. gloated, "I feel back on Cloud 9." Meanwhile, Ames felt defeated, saying, "I feel for the first time this is completely out of our hands."

Ryan was gleaming when invited on his first one-on-one with Ashley. Things took a turn south when he seemed to bore her with talk of environmental conservation. Not feeling the same "passion" with Ryan that she feels with other contenders, Ashley let him go to prevent him from the trauma of the rose ceremony to come. She uttered, "In my head you're my perfect guy,…but I just don't know if I see you as my husband."

Ryan had gotten the first impression rose at the beginning of this "Bachelorette" season, but he didn't offer her the lasting impression she was looking for. Last year, Ali Fedotowsky had an accurate gut instinct by bestowing her now-fiancé Roberto Martinez with the first impression rose. Disappointed, Ryan hopes that he'll "someday" find his Mrs. Right to raise a family and share life with.

"The Bachelorette"'s final stop in their Asian voyage was Taipei, Taiwan. It's now time for four lucky gents to introduce Ashley to their hometowns and families back in the U.S. Which potential in-laws will Ashley meet on next week's "Bachelorette" on ABC? In addition to J.P., who was presented with a rose earlier, Ben, Constantine, and Ames all get to share the most sacred part of their lives with their possible future wife.

Coming to the difficult decision to eliminate Lucas, Ashley questioned, "Maybe I wasn't cut out for this."

Chris Harrison: Brad Feels Stupid and Ashamed Over Losing Emily

The final 15 minutes on The Bachelorette this week overshadowed Ashley and the men traveling to Taiwan, as Chris Harrison sat down with half of last season's Bachelor couple, Emily Maynard, who returned and tearfully opened up about her breakup with Brad Womack. But why wasn't Brad there? Read our weekly chat with Harrison, who answers that question and shares his surprise about Ryan's dismissal and hints at the 31-year-old's return to the show.

Are you happy with the way your interview with Emily turned out?
Chris Harrison: I felt really good about it. I made it known that this was not going to be some salacious, controversial interview where I beat this girl up on the witness stand. It was for her to give her statement and what she wants to say. People were a little bit mad I didn't get more information from her, [but sometimes] having all the love and care in the world just isn't enough.

The Bachelor's Brad Womack and Emily Maynard end engagement

Why wasn't Brad there?
Harrison: It's just too raw for him. He's way too emotional and he still really cares for this girl and loves her a lot and he feels ashamed and stupid. I think he really feels like he let the love of his life slip through his fingers. He's such a nice guy, he texted me when I was about to interview Emily and said, "As a friend, please protect her and be there for her." Who does that when his ex is about to go and do an interview about him? He [told me he] didn't watch last night. He said, "I don't want to see Emily like that and I don't want to see Emily talk about us like that."

OK, back to The Bachelorette. I can't believe Ames is in the final four.
Harrison: I don't necessarily see it with Ames, but I think she's so fascinated by the guy. She's interested and is, like, I got to see this guy's hometown and where he comes from. Maybe it is more of a curiosity at this point than a connection, but she's interested. Like where does he come up with those pants? He's classic and unlike anybody we've ever had on the show — in a good way.

Will J.P.'s jealousy continue to rear its head?
Harrison: It's kind of a Catch-22 because you're supposed to start falling in love and caring about someone; but if you do, then obviously you don't want them dating a bunch of other guys and you definitely don't want to watch it. I don't think it was showing a bad side of J.P., it wasn't psycho, he explained himself so well and in a very endearing way. And he told it to Ashley which I liked instead of bitching and moaning behind the scenes.

Was Ryan's dismissal in the middle of the date shocking?
Harrison: It really came out of the blue and knocked him on his butt. He was speechless and stunned ... but I think she was just on a roll and ready to make her decisions.

Bachelorette's

Chris Harrison: The men unravel at next week's cocktail party

What about the rumors he's returning?
Harrison: One thing about Ryan is that when he left he was blindsided, so I think for him, above and beyond everybody, he felt he had an incredible connection with her. He definitely left wondering, "How could I have been so wrong and was I so wrong? Was she right in pulling the plug that early and not seeing if there was something else there?" So I think there were a lot of questions left unanswered out there.

Any teases about next week's hometown dates?
Harrison: Constantine's big Greek family is a phenomenal date, the country will be captivated by Ames to see what stock this guy came from and with Ben this is where you'll see the dark horse maybe move forward.

TV Ratings: 'The Bachelorette' Crowned Monday Winner
At 10 p.m., "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" topped NBC's "Law & Order: LA."

The elimination of Ryan on last night's The Bachelorette dominated in the ratings Monday.
The two-hour Bachelorette (8 million total viewers, 2.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic) was the night's most-watched and highest-rated telecast of the night, powering ABC for the win in both categories. In the episode, bachelorette Ashley Hebert sent the frontrunner home in the middle of their date. "I'm just not feeling it," she told Ryan on their date before sending him packing. "I respect you so much that I don't want to put you through the rose ceremony."

At 10 p.m., Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition (5.5 million, 1.9) topped NBC's Law & Order: LA, but compared with its most recent episode on June 27 lost nearly 1 million viewers.

Either Bachelorette Ashley Hebert has a strong aversion to redheaded clowns or she’s sick of crappy guys in her life — one or the other, she’s banned Bozos from her life, according to her T-shirt, at least! The fit Ash strolled around on her phone in L.A. on Tuesday, still rocking the dark locks she’s been sporting on this season of ABC’s The Bachelorette. It makes one wonder, is she talking about real clowns or foolish men?

*The picture was actually taken in Philadelphia, not LA as noobsleuth pointed out*

‘Bachelorette’ Host Chris Harrison: Ashley Hebert’s ‘Done Playing Games’ & Ready To Find The One!

Chris reveals that Ashley sent Ryan and Lucas home because she just wasn’t attracted to them!

Bachelorette Ashley Hebert‘s finally getting down to business with her remaining men. During the July 11 episode, Ashley said goodbye to Ryan Park — who at the beginning of the season seemed to be a front-runner after Ashley gave him the first impression rose. But host Chris Harrison says in his personal Entertainment Weekly blog that he thinks Ashley finally realized she didn’t have feelings for Ryan and sent him packing because it’s time to get serious about finding her hubby!

“Ashley explained herself excellently by letting him know at this point if she doesn’t feel it, why lead him on any further and then drag his family into it?,” Chris writes. “Despite the honest intentions it still hurt her and Ryan. [But] after that date I could tell Ashley was done playing games.”

Poor Ryan was stunned when Ashley told him he was going home. “He was having a blast and really feeling good about everything when Ashley pulled the rug out from under him and sent him home,” says Chris. “The usually positive Ryan was crushed and speechless. He didn’t know what hit him and didn’t know what to say or ask Ashley. He never saw that coming from her.”

But that was just the first incident that indicated that Ashley was on the move. She next decided to drop the cocktail party and go straight to rose ceremony. “She didn’t want any part of a cocktail party,” explains Chris. “She knew the [the man] she wanted to go home with and didn’t want to prolong the situation any longer than it needed to be. I understood and really respected her decision to forego the cocktail party.”

And Ashley knew that she had to send Lucas Daniels home as well. “Much like her relationship with Ryan, Ashley just wasn’t feeling it with Lucas at this point,” shares Chris. “Lucas was a little put off in Hong Kong and since then his relationship with Ashley just got a little stagnant, and at this stage in the game you just can’t have that.”

“Ryan and Lucas are both really good guys and I told Ashley she really couldn’t go wrong with any of these guys,” adds Chris. “I felt any of these four men [that were left] were going to respect her and treat her right — it’s now just a matter of chemistry between them.”
