Lessons learned for next season. This board is the best and will only get better with the "new blood" that has come on just recently. More people will lead to fresh perspective and more debate. Let's just make it healthy debate. Thanks again Love_me and Sans!

Yes thank you Love. You handled it awesomely. This info has come to me....here is what it is... Does it make sence...let's slueth it out. I always knew Ben was your fab. But I always knew you were staying objective. Always sleuthing first.

Hahahaha. I completely agree, Love. Remember when he said that there would be a frontrunner change in the fantasy date episode? Funny how that never happened. I'm still mad at him for saying that. Getting my hopes up like that. :laughingoutlou

ETA: I also agree they should have just let Ashley pick JP after their first 1-on-1 date and then made Shawntel the Bachelorette. Then Ben would've been the F1. :awesome:

CH was telling it like it was--there was a change in the frontrunners--Ben went from F3 to F2 because Dino who was supposed to be the "easy to let go" F2 decided to go home. The F1 never changed. We have to be very careful with CH. We often miss his "truths."

The only thing that gives me pause on that is the fact that I don't believe TPTB would've ever allowed Ashley to take Constantine to the F2 if he had stayed, even if it's what Ashley wanted. He would've never been believable as JP's competition seeing as he didn't even kiss Ashley until his second 1-on-1 date and that was right before hometown dates. I think Ben was picked to be F2 way before that based on getting the overnight date like Chantal and Molly. TPTB definitely wanted him as F2 even if Ashley didn't.

I agree with your comments in bold. TPTB had their story line in place and Constantine as F2 never would have worked. The viewers would have known immediately that there was nothing happening between Constantine and Ashley. There never was anything between them. It had to be Ben as F2. CH was talking in his blogs about Ben being the "dark horse" and how he was coming on strong. Their whole premise was - would Ben overtake JP at the FRC? They edited that first hour to make the audience have doubts as to the outcome. The only other guy who had any connection with Ashley besides JP, was Ben. He was the piece needed to make their puzzle work.

I never saw Ben as a 'dark horse' or, for the matter, 'the audience will fall in love with him'!!! I truly don't know what CH was trying to convey. I know we are all individuals with likes and attractions, but Ben does nothing for me in the looks department. His personality is a bit dull or stale. I would much rather see Mickey, Ames or Nick as the next Bach! :yes:

I think the key to your post Love, is "evidence". Even if you had 10 sources saying one thing, all the "evidence" pointed to the opposite. We know that MF & Co. can try to fool us with the edit, but all the post show clues are what I'm talking about...Twitter activity, guys demeanor in vblogs, JP vs. Ben's narration of HTD episode, Ashley's blog saying her love story started in Hong Kong, NY sighting, days they were both MIA or spotted in airports etc.) If we continue to look for the evidence to support potential spoiler information we receive, we will be able to stay more objective...no matter who our personal favorite is.

Love was the perfect example of that this season. You rock, girl!

You know as much as everything seemed to point to JP as F1, we all know that Fleiss and Co can be real slippery as well.

I do admit freely that I did listen to the spoilers that were not really spoilers and it may me question myself as to what I was really watching.

Until the AFRC spoiler was posted, I did think there was a chance (slim) that the 10 spoilers were right and we were watching another Fleiss soap opera.

I've been wrong before and I'm sure I'll be wrong again; this time we got the love story; pretty sure that we'll not get that again for a long, long time.

Post show evidence convinced me that JP was F1.

I looked at my own twitter account and found that on May 30/episode 2, I called it for JP. After Episode 3, I checked the spoilers just to confirm that I had it right. After that, there was never a doubt in my mind no matter what 'the edit' was trying to show. With all of the 'physical' contact JP and Ashley had, it just seemed impossible to me that they would allow that much footage in if Ben was the winner. JP didn't even want to see staged wedding pics of her with the other guys. I cannot imagine that they would document a love story with Ben by showing her with some guy with his tongue down her throat every time they kissed. LOL! After Phuket and Hong Kong, it was a total wrap and, clip wise, beyond the point of no return if Ben was going to be picked in the end. He'd never be able to get over it. I've seen Ben fans saying that Ashley was going to have to explain the mud bath scene. There would have been much more for her to explain regarding JP.

Does anyone still have the DVD recording of Ashley & JP on R/K? I just deleted mine late last night because I can now view it on this site. However, just realized I missed seeing the beginning where they scanned the audience and showed JP's parents. Would love to see that part of the show on video here. Also, any luck with backstage video on them?
