Sorry DP, but TMZ has new story up I can't bring over. Audio of Chris 911 call and him feeling victim's pulse. They said he seems coherent.

He did not flee the scene, he called 911 according to this article

Yes, he did. He just waited until after calling 911. He should not have left the scene of the accident. That was what he was charged with and why he went to jail and court.

Chris Soules called 911 at the scene of the crash before booking it ... this according to the 911 audio.

Yeah I feel bad for Chris. If someone intentionally did something wrong, that's when I lack sympathy. But what happened was a literal accident followed by a really really dumb decision. If Chris had stayed, he would've been in SO much less trouble. We get it accidents happen. But his decision to flee was a really bad decision. Yes I feel like hit and runs are a bad thing to do, but to commit a hit and run and learn someone died must be so emotionally traumatizing for Chris. What happened to the man was horrible and yes, I 100% feel sympathy for Chris.

@Ladybug82 Thanks. I read a lot of comments saying he left the man to die and did not try to call 911 or help which I was confused and saddened by because I could not imagine anyone being so heartless. Praying for the family of the victim and Chris's family as well.

This article seems to lay out the info and some reasons why it was suggested we wait for all facts to come in better than anything else I've seen so far.

Chris Soules Refused to Come Out of House After Fatal Crash

'Bachelor' Chris Soules walked away from the scene of the fatal crash, apparently called someone to pick him up and take him home, and when Sheriff's deputies got to his house he refused to come out.

We're told there were no eyewitnesses to the crash, but there were people present when Soules called 911 and they were the ones who ID'd him when he left the scene.

Law enforcement sources say 2 deputies went to Soules' family home and asked him to come out but he refused. It then took several hours for them to get a search warrant.

Our sources say when they searched Soules' pickup they found beer cans inside. We don't know if they were full or empty.

Deputies eventually arrested him and took Soules to the hospital where they drew blood to determine whether alcohol or drugs were in his system.

Our law enforcement sources say it will be virtually impossible to charge Soules with driving under the influence -- in Iowa it's called Operating While Intoxicated -- because they didn't test him until hours after the crash. The sources did say if there's an independent way of proving he was drinking just before the crash -- say in a bar -- the situation could change.

There's a buzz in the area where the accident occurred that the tractor may not have had its lights on. Someone told us the tractor didn't even have lights. Law enforcement, however, isn't sure the tractor needed lights because it was twilight at the time of the crash.

As for whether Chris could be charged with vehicular manslaughter ... law enforcement says it's way too early to tell. The investigation will take 2 weeks to a month to complete, and the results will then be forwarded to prosecutors who will make a decision.

Well I'm glad he at least tried to help before hightailing it. Doesn't explain any further why he was hiding for 5 hours though.

Not that it would have made any difference in this situation, but it took the dispatcher over 3 min to advise CPR? Geesh, is that normal?

I'm glad too! It just goes to show that any time major news breaks, the first 24 hours of is filled with misinformation and half stories.

When Luke and Marcus are coming to your defence, you know you're effed. Luke's comment just reminded me once again what a total tool he is. Not one word about the actual victim, as if this struggle just happened to Chris with no fault of his own.

It sounded like both men offered support. It's nice to see that. I didn't see any other than that.
