That said, I prefer the bachelorette over the bachelor show, I watch to observe different relationships and cause/effect situations, I'm not a fan of "TPTB" drama, since I find most of the storylines boring and uncreative, but the manipulation and edit tricks fascinate me and I'm following this season because I actually thought that Arie could be much better Bachelor than "my boy Nick" ever was, but the poor choice at the FRC quite frankly disappointed me, because I would have thrown him in the same garbage can as Chris Soules (the only other BachUS season I watched and couldn't stand the lead, while I skipped BenH all together because that season must had been boring) ... so the switcheroo actually saves him from being "the worst" ... now I just want to see "why" of the wasted time.

I also think the numbers for Becca are higher because of the spoiler, but not only that. I think more people like her as a contestant/person (even here on the board I think she has a lot of fans), and they may not necessarily want her to be final 1 or to be chosen, but they just simply like her the best. jmo

Hi SanLee SO good to see you!!!!! I like Becca a lot, but I would much rather she not be chosen by Arie. I also think she would make a great Ette as I think there's a lot more to her personality than we've been shown so far. IMHO

I still think post-show is when Arie realized that he didn't connect with Becca like he thought he would. Obviously, he said he loved (strongly liked in my book) both Becca and Lauren, but I feel that things fizzled with Becca when they were back in the real world. So, he broke up with Becca and reached out to Lauren. I can see the chemistry with Lauren and Arie, even if Lauren isn't very talkative on camera. It may be subtle, but it's there.

It is. @havapepper and I talked about dogs yesterday. Mine just made a year and she’s 3/4 Maltese and 1/4 shitzu . She’s my clown dog.

It used to be speculation on what happened in the FS. As we've seen on K's season, she didn't wait for the FS, TPTB took full advantage and aired it, and somehow, most of the media blamed Nick. So IMHO there appears to be a double standard at times from what I've seen. Even the other former ett'e who freely admit's to being paid to fly to cities for a romp in the hay, is apparently "empowering women". If it was Vice versa, I don't think it would be empowering men. He would be using her, a gigolo.

IA and I at this point don't know if it was Arie's decision or a decision by both that they just weren't a match. IA there is chemistry with Lauren. I made a point of paying attention since we knew early Dec he liked one of her IG posts. That was a huge red flag and very telling to me.

Since we know there is a switch, are they going to keep Lauren hidden and focus on Becca? We'll see this romantic proposal, everyone is in love with Becca, but when the switch happens, viewers are going to totally hate Lauren. That's the way I see it.

Being a moderator on this forum and I will ask other mods to freely chime in: We do not allow women on the forum to be called sluts. I don' t care what they have done, where they have been. There may have been other ways to similar to get that point across but I don't think the key word sl*t has been utilized. The post would have been edited/deleted.
Personally that term perplexes me. It's being discussed elsewhere on the forum about 2 particular cast just "boning each other already." I figure if 2 people are consensual, safe and sane it's not my business.

Sorry for the double post but the whole conversation makes me uncomfortable. While we snark and discuss their actions and such on a tv show and real life post show, we don't actually know these people in real life. I can't say I agree with Arie's behavior of juggling multiple girls in the past or even his behavior since returning/the switch. I particularly don't like how much he's pushing Lauren every chance he gets to rewrite things and make himself and the switch look better, IMO. But I will not call him such names nor any one else from the franchise or if I'm being honest, IRL either.

I would have edited it out of posts if I had seen them refering to women, it's not something I feel comfortable having discussed on the open board. And I'm not sure how we would actually know if such was true or not based on everyone's differing thoughts and opinions. And while we share and discuss our opinions all the time, that honestly is not my business. I would hate for friends or family to see such type convos not to mention we have far too many eyes reading here. I would hate a rag mag to pick up something such as that and run with it. We are not a rag mag nor bullies, IMO.

But that's JMO and I'm sure we all will not agree, which is ok and allowed here. Smiley

@Ladybug82 great post！I have to remind myself over and over again I don’t know any of them in real life and what they do on and off the show doesn’t have any bearing in my life. Sure I like some contests and some not so much, and I have no problem posting my opinions here but I do hope the best for all of them. I never wish anyone or any relationship to fail in real life.
