They don't actually follow them, however nothing is stopping them from scoping anyone out if they know the contestant will be cast. While there are some exceptions, they don't typically know who will be cast.

To keep this on topic, and not comparing who Becca choose or didn't choose because it's not important especially in this thread, the lead always recommends their choice for the next lead. Whether they are told to or not makes little difference IMHO because they will choose who they want based on many factors, and not someone the former lead supported.

I don't get Jason being like a "used car salesman" and IMO there's nothing wrong with that occupation as I know many of them. While sleuthing Jason, he looks exactly the same, and his character appears the same to me. He  appears genuine to me, not fake. He talks the way he talks because that's the way he is IMHO, he's not trying to prove anything. That's him. He's a professional who can speak confidently and that's how he comes across to me.  

As far as Blake is concerned, I don't see a lead being emotionally invested a problem. If they don't get the drama out of an emotional lead, they'll make him emotional by playing head games.

@GuardianAngel I said that ages ago. If Colton is the lead, there will be a couple of deuling virgins who will become fan faves...maybe one makes the FS...will she, won't she. Then there will be the oversexed ones who will make it their own personal mission to get him into bed....maybe one makes the FS. And then there will be Tia for another go round and possible audition for her own season.

It is all so predictable and writes itself. I really hope not because I find Colton and Blake very similar....boring and overly emotional and easily manipulated. I do not want to see a season of angst. I want some fun and pizzaz.
