Bottom line is, Nick is not going to be the Bachelor, but his name was put out as a possible Bachelor in addition to Ben H:

... by media, Fleiss tweeting when FRC episode came and even tweeting his name, by Elan, by Chris H on After Paradise, even Amy K (who tweeted that she heard both Ben and Nick were in consideration), other Bach Alum (including Andi) bringing up Nick's name, the Nightline interview where the reporter said to Nick "Why don't you become the Bachelor? I think you'd make a great Bachelor. #TeamNick", as well as others.

So yes, Nick is not going to be the Bachelor but based on what was sleuthed Nick's name was in the running and the media more than anyone other than Ben H. It can be spinned either way (as bait and hook, etc) but it still remains a fact that Nick's name was out there and serious or not, it's still pretty cool that Nick had media and even past Bach Alums giving him approval for the role and that "Nick is sincere about love" was the spin they gave. After two stints on this show, and for a polarizing guy whose motives were questioned, that's not too shabby, IMHO.

I just spent the last hour sleuthing the not a fan "fan" that had the IG exchange with Nick today. It appears that she lives in the Chicago burbs and her husband started working at Salesforce earlier this year. Who knows what the truth is about Nicks job though? It could just be office gossip. I cannot imagine why Salesforce would let Nick go. Maybe Nick is on leave for some reason. Anyway you count it, amyrn22 (IG gal) should mind her own business. At least Nick is keeping busy and looks happy..... That is good enough for me. #TeamNick

The comment conversation under that last IG photo between Nick and one of his so called fans is interesting.

Someone asked if Nick ever works and the "fan" responded -

amyrn22: nope. He left his great job to do the bachelorette and now they won't take him back a third time. Looks like he wants to be instagram famous. Lol.
(She has since deleted that comment so I couldn't get it word for word.)

Now amyrn22 is responding to this person: @grays_ a fake what? My account is private bc people like you don't need to be looking at pictures of my son. And I always have been a fan. I simply answered a question that someone posed about him never working.

Why do people make so many stupid comments about Nick not working? I mean really. How many other past contestants are "working"? He has said repeatedly that his career is a main focus for him. Why is it so hard to understand that he might have flexible hours? And be able to work away from home? Even if he did take a leave or quit his job, I am sure he would not have a hard time going back to it. Give it a rest people. Let him enjoy his life a little. He has been a responsible, hard working guy for years. He deserves to have some fun.

Such a positive guy and so realist and real! Honest to a fault.
His views on sex are great because he says it is all based on honesty and openness (as any relationship should be).
Nick says that he is brutally honest as a person and brutally honest with himself as well. (One of my favorite traits about Nick!)

I think this podcast shows me that Nick knows who he is and wants a woman who can challenge him, call him out on his stuff, and who knows her own self-worth. Love it!

I loved this interview. Very real and candid. It reaffirms what intrigues me about Nick is his authenticity. Please note his final comments about appearing on the Bachelor franchise in the future. I believe that the jury is still out. I am staying at #teamNick until I hear otherwise from TPTB.

I would really love to see RS be fleissed.....

And that is what I find most amusing... he gets people talking and talking and talking.
Passion from either aisle, love him or love to h@te him, people are compelled to talk about him everywhere (Josh M, Andi, etc, etc).

The opposite of love is not h@te it is disinterest...
But when it comes to Nick, it seems everyone is interested.

I find it very interesting how Sharleen never tweeted congratulations to Kaitlyn and Shawn. Never even faved a tweet by them or about them.

The only tweet she tweeted while the finale episode was airing was Nick and used his twitter handle. She even tweeted a reply defending him to another tweeting and faved a tweet about Nick being #TeamNick.

Safe to say, I think Sharleen is 99.9% #TeamNick and I don't see any friendship with Kaitlyn like Sharleen has with Andi. And I don't think Sharleen cares for Shawn at all. She would never say so publicly but that she hasn't said congrats or anything from her own (other than her Flare recap where she has to remain objective... yet still wrote mostly about Nick) I think Sharleen has made her loyalty known.

One thing Nick seems to have is loyal friends. That's priceless.
