Re: Movie Mania - Discussion
I am watching LALALand again and loving it again.
This year had a great crop of movies. I fortunately have seen so many of them--after the awards, of course. LOL

@Kashathediva I usually only get around to watching the movies after the Oscars as well haha. I actually have not seen LaLaLand yet but have seen Moonlight. I didn't really like it because it left me feeling kind of sad and empty inside... felt the same after watching The Revenant. I really enjoyed Manchester by the Sea though

I saw Hidden Figures--loved that.
Fences--loved that.
Revenant. Loved that.
Still want to see Lion.
I did not see Manchester By The Sea as I heard it was depressing. I have enough of that in real life. So passed on it.
Moonlight was awesome.
Hacksaw Ridge--very good.

I love movies too and don't get to watch them enough (have to drag my husband there). But I can't complain too much- he sits through season after season of the bachelor/ette with me. But Manchester by the Sea, although it was depressing, was INCREDIBLE. My husband hated it but I loved it. It stayed with me for a long time because it just touched me so deeply. I want to see some of the other suggestions you have for movies Kasha.

I still have not watched Manchester, but I'm sure we will get around to it.

I’m watching an oldie that brings back great personal memories. Superman from 1978 with Christopher Reeve. I loved him so much.

Saw "Ford vs. Ferrari." Yes, full of loud racing sounds and visions of vehicle exhaust, etc. But there is a moral question that the movie brings up which I am sad to say many will miss altogether. Excellent movie with good performances. Highly recommend. JMHOFWIW,

I'm not one to watch movies. I don't know why, never seem to have time but I thought it would be a good idea to get this thread going and suggest movies for those that are home and/or can't leave.
Is anyone watching movies? I know friends who just returned from being away for the winter and are self isolating. It's movie mania at their house. Good time to catch up.

Has anyone seen Soul? It's an uplifting story about purpose and encouraging others to find theirs if anyone needs a pick-me-up.

Thanks, @veg_out. We need to watch it. Could always use a pick-me-up.
