It sounds like they are still interviewing potential contestants now, so production must be quite busy with the AFTR and preparing to start the Bachelorette. They are probably on a real time management crunch, but it's too bad they didn't give themselves a couple more days before starting the filming next week Friday.

I wonder if they are also going to be doing some casting for diversity on her season. I know they want to get some more age-appropriate men (which is great), but it would be nice to have some racial/ethnic diversity as well. I have a feeling that RS was alluding in his article to Matt James, Tyler Cameron's friend and roommate possibly being cast for this season of Bachelorette.

Maybe they'll have "intruders" like they do in the Aussie franchise, if there aren't enough cast before filming starts.

I think Kaitlyn's season started filming on that same date too...Hopefully this time it will turn out better. If they don't have all the guys signed up yet maybe they should push back filming a week.

It would be hard to push back the date since they have already scouted locations and set up dates and promotions with hotels and other venues they plan to use. As if all that wouldn't be hard enough, now it appears they are scrambling to find other venues for the planned international locations because of the COVID-19. It must be a nightmare scrambling to find some age appropriate contestants for Clare, rearrange the venues and deal with all the stuff with Peter.

Bachelorette New Zealand introduced 5 new men during week four. They just finished airing week six and four of the five are still there

Wow -- I bet the original New Zealand contestants were not happy to see 5 new people enter. Is it easier to do that with the 2 Bachelorette format?

@suzq They do that during regular seasons too. All the Aussie and NZ shows that I have watched have been with intruders.

Usually they are not happy, but I think they expect it. The guys typically are a little ticked, but move on quickly. This season has been really good. The ladies on the other hand are much cattier and less forgiving. I wouldn't mind seeing it in the US show since it would be a total surprise for them!

Didn’t Jillian’s season add 5 men at some point? Wasn’t Ed, her F1, one of the add-ons?
