There has been a backlog for weddings, but since getting engaged A&G have always pinned 2023 as a timeframe. Alisha has mentioned that they'll more than likely have 2 engagement parties - one on each coast due to borders etc. The WA border won't open to everyone until the state is 90% double vaxxed 12+, they're currently at 78% 16+. It is predicted that target will be reached late Jan / early Feb (Jan 24 is an indicative date), but a date will be set in stone when they reach 80% is achieved. But then again, it's Mark McGowan so who really knows they end line may not exist

Glisha will be spending Christmas apart this year while Alisha is in NSW looking after a friend with Covid, but will get to spend it with Glenn's sister and nephews.

From what I can understand, as it seems to be changing daily, when Alisha eventually returns to WA, she'll have to have an approved exemption and undergo 14 days hotel quarantine as NSW is classed as "extreme risk". The same as what Brooke went through back in August.

Too bad they'll be apart. Unfortunately same for a lot of people.

It's lovely of Alisha to look after her friend (hopefully from a safe distance?!) but she's taking a huge risk, and if she catches it herself it could lead to a very long stay in NSW. People who've had COVID can test positive for weeks after...

ETA: I should clarify, for overseas members, 5 cases is a big deal for WA, which had been Australia's last remaining COVID-free fortress while other premiers caved to federal pressure and opened borders, letting Omicron stream in.

Greg answered our questions for us.. Lish is in NSW indefinitely until WA's border rules change. Read an article the other day that said McGowan may open it sooner due to the backpacker and if Covid spreads in the state thus making the hard border redundant, otherwise, Alisha may be in NSW til Feb.

After 2 months apart, A & G were finally reunited yesterday! 🥺

That's very cute.  I haven't been following them.  Why is Glenn the one carrying the bag when Alisha was the one who went interstate?
