Not true.  JP did a full video defending her!!

They probably made an exception for JP - the TPTB don't care too much for K or S at this point and their continued leaks of K's behavior with N continues to support that as well as referring to the finale as a train wreck. They want it ugly as possible.

JP's defense video was in 2011. Fast forward 4 years and....the ratings for 'Ette are down since Ash's season, so now tptb are stopping at nothing to get most drama because....drama=ratings.
If they didn't manufacture all of this drama, I think it would've been a typical season. I don't see anything that out of ordinary about it (except format). But tptb want all of us to believe otherwise.

I think TPTB have pretty much thrown in the towel on trying to control Kait and spoilers.  With every SM post she makes, she's throwing out hints and all but saying look at Shawn and I (which she did with snapchat gate). So I seriously doubt they'd care if Shawn favorited or retweeted something at this point.  The secrets out, how they get there is yet to be determined.  Besides, even if he did, how's it going to be any different than Nick, Ben, Cupcake, etc. tweeting, retweeting, or favoriting something.  He'd just be another guy from her season showing support...nothing more, nothing less.

That was when the show was having people post video recaps after each episode. It was a show sanctioned and requested recap of the week's ep. They obviously realized how dumb that was because JP was defending his lady in his and I remember when Ben did one he seemed so down or disinterested - def not a happy camper in love.

TPTB can still have the last laugh. Often the couple relies on extended PR following the show. It brings in good $$. TPTB could simply provide minimum opportunity and then dump them. For 2 people without job prospects major ouch.

Well considering the PR the show has done for them so far, I am not sure they would not be better off walking away IMO. Kaitlyn launched her website and I am sure Shawn can find something that does not require TPTB help.

They always have the upper hand. There is a reason that their most favourite Bachelor Sean gets the most continued perks as a result of his participation with the show. Those like JPab and Andi...not so much. I always wonder just how much their behaviour off camera has to do with not only how they are edited, but also word getting around in the relevant circles that would put a kibosh on any opportunities they would potentially be offered post show...and I don't just mean stuff like DWTS.

Sorry but at this point it is hard to support this couple. With Kaitlyn message to CBS about casting her & Becca in the Amazing Race it seems she is more focused on her girl freindships that any potential fiance. It might have been better for all if she had walked away alone at the end.
