We believe that filming started around Wednesday last week as the DM published some of the arrival pictures then, and Ali was interviewed at the Logies last weekend where she confirmed that filming had started. They are likely to be 10 days or so into filming, but we haven’t had any early date shots yet.

Ali Oetjen was spotted enjoying her first kiss, while filming scenes for The Bachelorette.
The 32-year-old beamed as she locked lips with a handsome suitor on a date at Cockatoo Island on Friday.
Dressed casually in blue jeans and an off-the-shoulder top, the smitten blonde cuddled up to her companion outside a huge warehouse.
The mystery man also kept his look simple, pairing green pants, a grey sweater atop a white collard shirt and sneakers.
The smitten pair kicked off their romantic outing with brunch, where they were seen flirting and exchanging laughs.
They later made their way to a huge warehouse where they each wrote down their fears on a large vision board, one of which was 'manipulation.'
After the task, they were seen driving around in an ATV buggy, while flanked by a camera crew.
At one point, the handsome suitor was seen chatting to a production member as Ali took a break.
Towards the end of the date, Ali and her man gazed adoringly at each other during what looked like a deep and meaningful conversation.

Sam Cochrane is set to join The Bachelorette as an intruder following his split with ex-fiancée Tara Pavlovic, it has been claimed.
According to NW magazine on Monday, Network Ten has invited Sam to be one of Ali Oetjen's suitors this season.
'They told him there's a spot waiting for him on Ali Oetjen's season as an intruder if he wants it,' claimed an insider.

REALLY!? I already consider this season to be a flaming dumpster fire for choosing Ali, but if Sam were to come back for Round 3 under the pretense of being into Ali, that’s not just jumping the shark, that’s pole vaulting over the shark while juggling flaming batons level of shark jumping

I really think TPTB might be trolling Ali. Sam (and others *cough Michael cough*) IMO seemed like they couldn't stand Ali during BiP so surely no-one would believe he'd be going in as a serious romantic interest.
To me this suggests that the suckers they convinced to appear this season might be so woefully inadequate/boring they need Sam to spice things up and provide some narration (he is particularly good at that, IMO).
I don't see much chemistry with the Cockatoo man so not sure why DM are saying she's "smitten"? Maybe just because it's Ali so they're assuming she's head over heels since she falls in love at the drop of a hat?

Wrong timing. Sydney has been freezing in the last few days.
Imagine Ali seeing Sam walk in as the intruder! She will send him packing pronto because he will have tales to tell to the fellow contestants.

She won't even know he's broken up with Tara since that happened after she started filming! The look on her face if he walks in will be priceless. Wouldn't be surprised if she thinks he dumped Tara for her, such is her level of... shall we say... "self confidence".

She would most certainly know they broke up. She went to the Logies and Hughsey in his intro monologue mentioned that they had broken up that very day. So unless she just walked the red carpet and then flew home, she would be well aware.

out of curiosity, does Ali is considered beautiful in terms of cultural standards in Australia? I know beauty is subjective but there are some cultural tendencies in each country. I remember watching BIP and guys getting overly swooned and all I saw were plastic surgeries

It's tough to say @limoncello IMO she was very beautiful in her first season which was 4 years ago, but as you say she has had a lot of surgery since then, so looks more plastic to me. I think maybe she was the Australian ideal look in the 80's?

IMO, no, she would not be considered beautiful. IMO beautiful by Australian standards is someone like Miranda Kerr or Teresa Palmer - natural, down to earth girls who look like they just stepped off the beach. Girls you could have a laugh and share a beer with.
Aussie guys IMO don't like women who are too "high maintenance". They might be drawn to Ali because her ridiculous fake boobs and fat lips make her look like a porn star, which might recall teenage fantasies, but in general I think people would say she looks cheap.

Aussie guys don’t like high maintenance, but they do like blonde hair and big boobs.
That explains why the guys were all initially attracted to her when she turned up on BIP, but turned off her pretty quick cause she was too much effort.
