It's hilarious how much we convince ourselves. Like me last season when TOG tweeted about being "all out of bubble gum. #bubblebummer" the day after the FRC and "it's always cloudy inside" a few days later and I'm all like, "well he probably just wants us to think he's not the F1!" because surely someone who spoiled a season once before and paid dearly for it wouldn't give it away a second time, right? Well... yeah. #oops

LOL. This reminds me when I argued that Nick was just throwing us off when he was tweeting things that didn't sound happy or like someone who was chosen. Sometimes it really is just that simple.

I think the support Nick gave and is giving K during the season is a mix of that he'll always love her, and also to keep the suspense up for the season (especially pre snapchat-gate). Of course, K can't seem to see that

. Maybe Shawn is helpful behind closed doors, but based on their interactions during the season, I wouldn't be surprised if he's still questioning her and doesn't support her actions on the show and that's why she lashes out so much and is so defensive about the "those who are not fans".

And AAL, I agree that the #bubblebummer and the "it's always cloudy inside" did indicate a not-so-happy ending for Nick. So I don't really think Nick is F1. Just that he should have been F1 if K had realized what she had in front of her.

As for JB, I think the possibility of them dating is over. She's not posting on his twitter/instagram much anymore and she's tweeting about liking Ben H. Maybe she wants Nick to set them up?

. I also wonder if this means Nick found someone in Chicago. (Although if it weren't for snapchat-gate and K's social media, I'd think that this would have pointed to to Nick being F1...)

For me, even without snapchatgate or SHV sleuthing and the like, I still think Nick's tweet of "I'm all out of bubblegum. #bubblebummer" post-FRC was telling to me that he was rejected.

I know it was speculated it may be a positive movie quote but when I posted about that tweet I sensed it meant "bubble bummer" as in the bachelor bubble being a bummer ending and all out of bubblegum meaning all out of hope (in fact as soon as I read that tweet Air Supply's "I'm all out of love" starting playing in my head).

I guess for me I see Nick's tweets where he uses movie quotes and the like as his language, they mean something more than just what the movie means, they are more like music or art -- not to be taken back to the source but to be used to express one's feelings and thoughts... similar to using quotations or lyrics. All symbolic but personal.

I guess I saw it and still see it that way because I understand that type of language as I use quotes daily or lyrics to convey feelings or analogies that relate to a situation I am in or feelings I feel when in spoken communication (rather than written form as Nick does), especially with my hubby whom I have known most my life. When I told him Nick's tweet he said to me, "Oh boy, that guy is crushed.. he must have left his heart on the floor". When snapchat happened it just sadly confirmed that it was likely a bummer and Nick was out of hope at that time.

And then over a week after his #bubblebummer post-FRC tweet Nick tweeted "It's always cloudy inside". I actually teared up at that tweet, tried to stay optimistic but posted a list of reasons why I was so saddened by it. That it was likely how he was feeling at that time was heartbreaking. But once Nick was smiling and glowing again a few weeks later I was pleased that Nick was still Nick. His heart may have been broken again but sometimes a broken heart is the only way to let the light back in.

Looks like it was later in the day when Nick was at FRC, probably done that way to make it seem like he was F1 and to give Nick even more confidence that he was the last guy standing (since most F2s are let go pre-FRC and Nick knew this since he was one of them last year) and most FRC are later in the day.

Boy, TPTB played him this year. Starting with his "Real life" connection with Kaitlyn outside the bubble, letting him feel secure by having access to SM while filming, and then all the way to Mr Neil Lane himself. They flipped everything so Nick would use his last year to compare to and thus think he was in the F1 spot this time yet it was nothing but reverse psychology on both parts. No wonder Nick tweeted the next(?) day, "I'm all out of bubblegum #bubblebummer".

Great catch, GA!

A lot of us were speculating when he tweeted this that it had to do with snapchat. Either because he may not have known if he believed the foiler, or, most of us at the time posted we thought it may have to do with his memory of him being caught on a plane and spoiling the ending... so thinking back to that. I do think it ties into the snapchatgate though. Even though Nick's tweets are cerebral, the one's he posted when viewed through the lens of him being F2 and day of/after FRC he tweeted "I'm all out of bubblegum. #bubblebummer". And then the next week he tweeted "It's always cloudy inside". From then on, all his tweets have been optimistic, positive but the memories one makes me think it may have tied into snapchatgate since it seems more reflective, imo.

So here is what I am thinking come FRC:

1. TPTB love to manipulate, especially the F2 and they like to blindside the F2 so that they get the most dramatic reaction from them. So other than Nick being in on it and having to act, this is just some speculation on them using the show's history and using Nick to get the dramatic finale. After all, these are Nick's "friends" who let him come on mid-season and be active on SM so surely they won't want to blindside him this time, right?

2. Nick gets a visit (finally) from NL and picks out a ring (something to replace the one he got K in Ireland). All of a sudden he is confident and thinking, wow, I am going to propose to the woman of my dreams that I took a risk for.

3. Night before FRC, Nick tweets "Can't sleep, won't sleep". He is excited, he is nervous, he can't believe this is happening -- the risk is about to pay off this time.

4. Nick is first at FRC. Nick knows that going first is not a good thing. However, he is also aware that with the Bette, usually the guy who is not chosen is let go pre-FRC. So Nick thinks of course I am going earlier in the day, because I am the only one (Life&Style said there was an hour difference/wait btwn N&S so not that long). Nick doesn't think Kaitlyn would have let him on the show and now let him pick out a ring for nothing.

5. So Nick is super confident, he has the ring, he thinks that K most likely let S go early and so his nerves are only whether she will accept (a normal thing) and such a big day for him to propose and so he probably doesn't read the signs that things are amiss and is blindsided when his proposal is rejected. Nick is devastated. TPTB have their drama with Nick 2.0 going from pre-FRC last year to proposing this year and being rejected again.

6. Nick tweets, "I'm all out of bubblegum. #bubblebummer."

Hope I am wrong too but if he was really feeling it (and not just following TPTB orders) enough to pick out a ring and propose? I could see Kaitlyn stopping him before he gets on his knee (as he likely will) but if she doesn't and he proposes? I see a shell-shocked Nick who tweeted "It's always cloudy inside" a week after FRC day.

That being said, he is just fine now!

I remember Ashley trying to stop Ben and he just was so intent on getting it out that he wouldn't let her. I actually think that is a sign that someone isn't the one, when they are so nervous they just need to plow through, I think their subconscious realizes it is something they shouldn't be doing. Reminded me of Tara with Jesse, girl you threw up on the way there, your body can't do much more to tell you that you really don't want this dude.

I am not really worried about Nick. He was engaged before the show, so I don't think he will be crushed to propose and get turned down. He seems much more pragmatic about the show this time even during it and with him finding out this week about the extra time Shawn has gotten, I think he has a better idea that it isn't just him. I think he really didn't have much of a clue about how close Andi and Josh were, TPTB purposely had them on different dates except for episode 4, where they were on different basketball teams, so Nick didn't see how Andi was around Josh. He has a better idea that someone else is in the bachelorette's heart this time. JMO.
