I don't listen to what Alexis and jasmine think of her bc they only known rachel for a couple months until they went home.

Maybe they should ask Rachel's family and real friends what rachel likes in a guy or what she needs in a guy.

Since we don't have that, I am making do with the next best thing for my guesses. laugh out loud

I know I just hate that people think these girls are best friends bc they were on a show together.

I know Vanessa is friends with Taylor Nolan and Danielle m but they barely kissed nick, you don't see Vanessa being best friends with Corinne.

I understand it's bachelornation and they share a special bond but come on you don't actually know eachother and hasn't even been a year yet. JMO

Even though I think Alexis and Jasmine could have worded it better, I do agree that she would go for the more assertive guy who won't be intimidated by her (IMO), based on her own words in this interview.

Glamour: I’m in my thirties, and I’m sick of people saying, "Why are you still single?" Do you ever get that?

RL: A lot of people are like, "How are you single? You seem to check off every box on paper. You’re great!" And what I say is "Men love the idea of me, but when it comes to the reality of me, they can’t handle it." Whether it’s "You work too much," or "You’re too strong-willed, or "You’re so independent you don’t need me," it’s a very frustrating experience. I’m sure you can relate to it. What I love about this is that I feel like I can touch women on so many different levels. @coolangel I don't think she wants someone 'assertive' per se

The definition according to http://google.ca/
Assertive: having or showing a confident and forceful personality

IMO I don't think she wants someone forceful. She says she wants someone who's confident, and won't be intimidated by her success but an assertive guy is not the only personality type that fits that description. I think she'd end up butting heads with a guy like that. I think she'll either end up with a goofball or the strong silent type. All JMO.

For me, assertive is not a negative term at all. For me, It means being confident without being aggressive. There is something which is often said in my profession about climbing the career ladder - 'There is a line between assertiveness and arrogance. That line is being open to other people's opinion and respecting them'. That's the personality type I see for her based on her replies - not aggressive/arrogant but assertive.

It's definitely interesting speculating coz I couldn't see her with Dean but they seemed to have tons of chemistry in the videos IMO. I can see her being attracted to goofballs like you said since she has said 'funny' every time she was asked this question. I personally think the different opinions all of us have on her type is interesting and makes speculating fun. yes

She has mentioned liking corny jokes and someone funny and making her laugh quite a few times in interviews so definitely on the look out for that during dates, the fun banter interactions.

That's the last thing I would have thought Rachel was looking for in a guy. In the few interviews I've seen her answer the questions of what she's looking for, I've never heard her say that.
