RichLP you make this place a joy! Thank goodness you are back to you. You have been so serious on other threads tonight I was wondering if you are okay.

Haha! I feel way intimidated, too! :shocked!:

I have a BA in Counseling/Psychology and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I'm a Middle/High school teacher. 👋

Hey mmhughes, I love teaching and admire those brave enough to teach middle and high school. I am a wimp, I prefer them in graduate school or medical school so I can actually tell them when they are being stupid, plus they want to be there, so in general there is a little bit less of trying to get them to take stuff seriously.

Well....I'm a composer of 21st century classical music; an Executive Director for Artistic Advocates for Healing that I started. My day job is I'm a legal secretary at one of the top ten law firms in the United States. I also am principal bassoon with the Heritage Philharmonic in Independence, MO and I'm an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay. I have a complicated relationship with a man and my hobby is Autocross racing. We have a Midwest Divisional Race in Topeka, KS this weekend. It will help pass the time while waiting for the 22nd to get here.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. Originally I was a molecular biology major on a pre-med track but decided I preferred the clinical-critical care side of things rather than surgery or diagnostics so I switched majors. After 6+ years of working cardio-thoracic ICU and obtaining my certification as a CCRN, I joined the Navy and traveled around for 7 years as an officer in the Navy Nurse Corps. While in the Navy I became certified as a Critical Care Labor and Delivery RN. I haven't pursued further formal education after that. I met my husband at the Naval Hospital in Charleston, SC, 5 years later left the Navy and since then I've focused on raising my children who are currently 16 and 13. We've settled in Virginia Beach, VA where I lead volunteer efforts with their schools, our church and community. I recently completed 2 years as the Coordinator of Christian Formation for our church, and am currently in my third year of EfM (Education for Ministry). I also coordinate a volunteer team of 50 middle school students who work with Kindergarten and First grade students focusing on emergent reading skills. My hobbies are gardening (with an emphasis on heirloom tomatoes), knitting and teaching myself new computer skills (this year is audio-video editing). I guess I just enjoy trying and learning new things.

I had to make it sound more interesting than " I sit in front of the computer all day reading these boards" (which is more the truth these days) giggling

You drive a car around a course that is set up with orange cones. Go to www.scca.org and you should be able to find an event in your area to check out.

I work as a teacher for the Deaf, and teach in elementary school. I use ASL to teach English and reading and writing, as well as the entirety of our Province's curriculum. Its not always an easy job, but it was my dream job.
I have a BA in English literature, BA in education as well as Deaf Education Specialist degree.

Not easy to do, as I am Deaf myself. :)

Love posting with you guys, and look forward to reading more.
