I am an IT Manager (Enterprise/Technical Architect) for a big IT/Managerial Consulting Firm in the Wash DC area.

Need to do something productive and stop hanging out in this forum (after Nick's season)

I'm a dentist like Ashley Hebert, I mean Rosenbaum! giggling Unlike Ash whose specialization is Pediatric Dentistry, mine is Oral Surgery Smiley

It's like I've never loved before

You are love
You are life
You are peace of mind.", 'Peace Of Mind', David Cook

I'm a stay-at-home mom of 2 teens. I'm 54, reasonably-happily married, and am actually the present sole guardian of the older teen, (who considers himself a "man" but has no clue what that means) 18, who has Asperger's Syndrome and I make it through each day with a tempestous, very sharp 14-year-old girl in the middle of puberty. Right now and probably in my future, being a good, loving responsible parent and helping steer our son to being somewhat independent is my "career". My fairy tale is one day at a time, sweet Jesus.

For fun and cathartic creativity, I play with photography and graphic creation in chronicling our life events and Video Art production (self-taught in both) - with an eye to doing something in that field for money again. I used to have a home business designing and printing computer-designed customized mom/grandma/doting aunt gifts and earlier was a partner in local greeting card line (I was the main artist). Both were non-profit, I'm a better artist than businesswoman.

At some point - if that's needed financially or I just fall into an opportunity I can't pass up, I may parlay my current skills into a career. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mimitalks - if anyone cares to check it out. Just sharing - I have lots of downloadable freebies (I'm not in business) and have done a lot promoting Breast Cancer Awareness, much featuring that 14-year-old very-photogenic daughter (my mom was a Breast Cancer survivor). The rest is just 'cause I can.

"The Bachelor" watching is one of my "escapes". I'm really rooting for Sean.

Since my last post in this thread, I have different jobs. Currently, I am a nanny for a wonderful family with 3 boys. If you follow me on twitter I post pictures and tweet about them often. I also coach JO (Junior Olympics) volleyball. As for my long-term plans, I'm still thinking about pursuing physical therapy, but if I had my way I would be a full-time coach because that is where my true passion is.

That sounds awesome. Sounds like you know what you want in life.
