Clearly as a viewing public, we all find her mesmerising.
I am so heartened that so many women are united in their fondness for her.
Her strong sense of self and lack of affectation are the signs of someone who won't be defined by a man.
She interacts with Sam as an equal, whether they are being silly or serious.
Her reveal at the last SD about not needing to censor herself is very telling because it is the key to why we are enjoying watching her.
romance realist!
Spot on first post!
I really wish only the best for her, whether that be Sam or not, Heather undoubtedly will be the best for him (imo).
#TeamHeather all the way!

Katie, if/when you watched that IG video of Heather dancing by herself, it may be just me, but didn't Heather remind you of Anne of Green Gables when she danced with herself and Gilbert was "mesmerised" watching her?
Yes! Heather definitely has some Anne in her. (I could be her Diana as I'm partial to a little red currant wine!)
All we need is for Sam to rescue her from a sinking boat and tease her about her hair and we would be sorted for a parellel of the sweetest love story ever!

I may have my team heather blinkers on but hey its not my fault the editing has been 70-30 in her favour and she just happens to be the most awesome chick to ever go on the bachelor.

I love Heather. She's the complete package and is a genuinely caring person.
She never seems to take anything for granted and seems to appreciate even the smallest things in life.

Katie ITA ... the edit never fails ... never... (Even in the previous seasons when I "didn't believe it" and I tried to go against the current, inside I had my doubts and I would often seek reassurance in-here that there's a fine explanation why it deviated from what i believed in ... but this time I have no doubts.) ...and the story of Heather and Sam is in THEIR "passion" and not what everyone else finds "best suited". And Jacinda made one fine observation, how opposite Heather and Snezana are ... just in terms of physicality ... so if Sam continues to keep Heather there, he obviously is attracted to her "tomboyish" look (despite the lack of "curves") ... so I have no doubts that physical attraction is there ... the only problem continues to be the level of "passion on the screen"... and it's what makes most people doubt (including #teamHeather) ... because we are told that there's only friendship.- on Mon Aug 31, 2015 5:24 am

AllAboutLove wrote:I have had huge doubts regarding Heather being F1 for Sam when it comes to SM and media, etc.
Huge doubts and I have posted about them all.
What made me think that Heather may be F1 is that recent interview by Sam.
I was blown away by his reaction and words regarding Heather calling him partner.
The guy was giddy and his words "Flushed. A pinkish hue".
Why say and act that way if you broke this girls heart?
Because her heart WILL be broken if she is not F1.
The recent episode already lets us know that Heather's heart will break because she is falling for Sam and wants to be "the one" in the end.
If she is not the one in the end, then Sam did some amazing acting, on that interview clip and then on the show.
It's why, I will then believe he did it for fame in the end.
Perhaps choosing someone he doesn't feel pressure to be with/move in with straight away.
Someone that can advance his career.
I am not Team Sam, I am [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].
So if he breaks her heart, he breaks mine too and also the majority of viewers.
Just look at comments and tweets.
People are not just liking Heather, they are loving Heather.
The backlash will be HUGE if she is not F1.
Yes yes yes! Heather has become the protagonist of the season. Viewers are now watching to see her journey not Sams.
All I want is for Heather to find her happiness and to gain peace with who she is (amazing!) and if she finds that with Sam - well that's excellent.

[mention]happygolucky[/mention] wrote:[mention]see2love[/mention] wrote:The kicker for the Heather liking me right now is that i don't think Sam is as into her as she is starting to be into him. He likes her all right, has a lot of fun with her and thinks highly of her but he didn't really pursue or push during the date. she kinda took the lead and she was saying everything i wish he was saying to her.
He wants the best for her but he doesn't seem convinced that best is him at the moment.
I greatly appreciate your take on it ... and I could see this interpretation too (maybe I am biased or watching through the romantic prism) ... if this is the case, then I would have to reconsider my view on who Sam is and what I believe his character is like... and part of me would feel sorry for him. But I continue to see a "spark" between them and his desire, but you're right, he doesn't pursue it ... like he normally would with a girl/woman, like he does with Snezana (I've just seen their 2nd SD again and he was full on there ... passionate) ... since there are many open "questions" I prefer to stay optimistic (for my girl ... always ... with or without) but I actually understand your view ... But from this edit and how he reacts to Heather and even just a day or two ago how he reacted when he heard her calling him "partner"?
If he is not with Heather I feel really sorry for his F1 b/c that man sounded giddy with excitement just hearing her speak.

Bachelor Australia - Season 3 - Heather Maltman
This is one of my favorite blogs to read for recaps -- really the best, most in depth, smart, and funny blogs (better than Rosie's, imo)Here's a snippet from recap Ep 10 for Heather (this re-capper is 100% [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.])
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
And then they sit there and eat chocolate and talk and… you guys, Bachie has completely duped me on this one.
I believe wholeheartedly in their love.
Bachie Sam + Heather forever.
They continue this later on when the requisite champagne picnic shifts to the equally requisite candlelit sex couch.
Remember how, when I recapped Sam and Heather’s first date...
- Recap of Sam and Heather's first date:
Okay, real talk, Bachie-with-Jodi recap readers. I am an intelligent lady. I have a PhD in love and everything. I’ve watched UnReal. I know how manipulated and constructed this show is…
…but despite all this, I ship Bachie Sam + Heather so hard. SO HARD. Hard like you wouldn’t believe.
[You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.]
They love each other and I will fight you if you do not think so
In tonight’s episode, Heather chose to cash in the white rose, AKA the prize she got for being Bachie Sam’s favourite lady on the first night. This rose gave her the power to ask him out on a date, rather than the other way around – MY GOODNESS THE THOUGHT THAT A LADY MIGHT ASK A GENTLEMAN OUT BRING ME MY SMELLING SALTS.
... things get adorable. “Superhero costumes!” Heather announces. “You’re going to be Bach-Man, and I’m going to be H-Bomb. And together, we will FIGHT CRIME.”
And they do a photo shoot, and… you guys, it is just so adorable. Put them together, and they achieve Jamie Fraser levels of dorkery. They laugh and nerd out and I just want to grab them by the hair and smash their faces together while yelling JUST KISS EACH OTHER.
But while their photo shoot is soon over, the date is not. The next element is something that every good date needs: jelly wrestling (…it was about the time that Sam stuck his head between Heather’s legs that it became very, very clear that yes, she would be getting a rose).
They soon retired to the Bachelor Pad (yes, that is what it is actually called), so Heather could make dinner for him, and they could talk.
This is where I want to put on my nerd hat and bring out the mandatory educational part of this recap.
Heather and Sam’s connection (OH GOD I JUST USED A BACHIE WORD WHAT HAVE I BECOME) is very strongly predicated on the ability to talk to each other, as we see in this dinner scene, where they open up to each other about their childhoods and their family lives.
This idea of communication and talk being central to a romantic relationship is actually a very new one. David Shumway argues that what we see in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries is an emphasis on “intimacy” as opposed to “passion”.
This new intimate relationship is based on knowing your partner deeply and being able to communicate with them about everything and anything, unlike passion, which has an element of mystery encoded.
It’s such a relatively recent development in romantic history, in fact, that we see Bachie Sam get a bit worried over whether he and Heather actually do have a romantic connection – what if it’s just friendship? he asks her. Their romance (if we can call it that so far) has been based on disclosure and laughter and communication: he’s hardly played the role of the Byronic hero sweeping the fainting girl in the floaty white underwired nightdress off her feet.
But Heather has a few things to say about that. “No,” she insists. “Just because we’re amazing friends and can talk to each other doesn’t mean that we can’t be romantic partners – actually, it means we’ll be better partners.”
What Heather is appealing to here is an excellent example of what feminist scholar Carla Kaplan calls “the erotics of talk” – and it’s probably not coincidental that she, as the female partner in the relationship, is appealing to this discourse.
Kaplan argues women are in search of an ideal listener.
Women’s voices are often so marginalised in the world – Kaplan says that women are constantly engaged in what she calls a “contestatory politics of voice” – that finding a conversational space where they can be listened to and their concerns taken seriously is very important.
Is it not surprising, then, that this idea of the ideal listener is the basis of so many romantic fantasies?
And honestly, maybe it’s all behind-the-scenes trickery, but Heather and Sam seem to be engaged in some pretty hardcore erotics of talk right now. And then there was straight up erotics, when they snogged on his couch. Rawr.
(I’m not going to lie. My friend Monique and I both literally started applauding. I SHIP IT SO MUCH.)
YAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS GET IT HEATHER
Read more [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
... I talked about the erotics of talk? Once again, it is clear that they have found in each other the ideal listener – something which, in the Book of Jodi, is one of the most romantic things ever. Daaaa[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
And he gives her a rose and they get their pash on.
THEIR LOVE IS TRUE AND I WILL FIGHT YOU IF YOU DO NOT THINK SO.
pls invite me to your wedding guys
When Heather gets back to the house, she immediately launches into a Pash Rehash for the ladies (except Lana and Rachel, who have wandered off to be intruder separatists). And, because she is the kind of manic pixie dream girl to whom these things happen, Bachie Sam walks in while she is recapping and she is appropriately embarrassed.
Whatever. It just adds to the rom-com charm of their true love.
