Bachelorette 15 - Hannah Brown - Media - SM - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #3

We can all go back and forth about Haley and Never get our thought across.  But again , this is bigger than Haley . What about the women in the {#}metoo{/#} movement. Some kept quiet for fear of being called the things Haley is being called by some . Some used their SM to cry out and still they got fameseeker replles. But when they went to the mainstream reliable media, their story was told and empowered more to come forth . In the end, many of the complaints were verified and the perpetrator was dealt with . In essence, Hannah did on night one what she might be denying with Haley. If she got wind of Haley night one would Jed be the one going home ? So what’s the differrence if she was deceived but fell in love anyway. Does it take away the fact that Jed knows how to decieve by telling half truths? Jmo

word I agree  terrifying guy! I posted in the SM/Media thread but even Osher's wife Audrey posted about Charlie and how terrible he is and how she told her daughter to stay away from men like that! He's a scary person. Yes watching Todd back to make me feel better too.

Bachelor Australia Season 6 - Nick Cummins - SM Media #2 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Idlemess wrote:The whole {#}WomenSupportingWomen{/#} hashtag is great and I’m happy that the women were able to make friends in the midst of competing for the love of a man.
I feel that it’s a sign of more beyond being solidarity and a message against being bullied.

Isn’t the case each season internationally? They all become a bachelor family and some remain close friends after show. This is not new IMO

The prods spoke to nick. That is how he knew what happened in the mansion when generally the lead is always kept in the dark. Yes nick had doubts because he is a smart cookie but not the extent of it imo. So when he took aside Tenille, prods explained the situation which took place a week earlier as per Tenille. Was it Nick or both prods/nick decision, they still wanted to keep Romy..............

Bullying is an ugly beast. Everyone should be together as we are with {#}metoo{/#}

Leo - Leandro Dottavio - **Sleuthing Spoilers**

I think the show is in a tough spot when it comes to the Leos of the world, as he's never been charged with a crime and there is no record of his decade long history of sexual harassment. Which is going to be true for most men who've sexually harrased women. The only way that someone like him can really be prevented from being cast is if the show releases the cast before filming and people are able to write in. I just don't think that will happen. I think we're just living in a new era, because of social media and #metoo, and that's why these men are being exposed and why people are actually listening. I don't think any of this is new. I think the show has likely been casting bigots, abusers, and sexual harassers from the beginning of time. IMO.

Bekah Martinez - Bachelor 22 - Discussion

Aria wrote:I'm usually at BEC levels with Bekah, but gotta give the girl credit here. These girls have been screaming since the beginning of the season that Leo has been pulling sh*t like this, but it's been mostly ignored because he's "hot" (ew) and "funny" and, hey, we have an actual sexual offender this season so what's a little sexual harassment?  Boys will be boys, amirite? It's only making news because of Bekah and she hasn't backed down, despite his ridiculous threats and lies.

It makes me wonder if we've always had guys like this in the franchise, but they've all gotten away with it because social media wasn't what it is today and women were much more afraid to speak out before #metoo. *sigh* IMO.

I think this is exactly the case.  I applaud Bekah for speaking out for those who feel they cannot or whose voice won't be heard.  This will stop when women (and men) stop allowing it to go on.

Arie Luyendyk Jr - Lauren Burnham - Bachelor 22 - Discussion #2

Aria wrote:*edit* Kind of sad to see at the peak of the #metoo movements, but it just shows that there is still a long, long, long way for women to go.

And, the hypocrisy in slamming Arie's exes for doing interviews for money/attention, while refusing to acknowledge that Arie and Lauren basically performed a Shakespearean play in Spain for the paps is quite amusing. All, IMO.

The difference is Arie and Lauren are the ones who went on a reality TV show. The ex's didn't. Why do these ex-girlfriends need to concern themselves of Arie and Lauren's life now? Does it matter what they think? Do their words hold weight on whether Arie and Lauren make it or break up? No. So, why give an interview in the first place? 1) Get my name out there -attention seeker 2) Make some money. Jmho.

I agree to a degree, but IMO a part of #metoo should also be giving girls the confidence to walk away from a s*itty situation. To believe that you deserve better and can do better. It's almost redundant to blame the f***boy if it's a pattern in their behaviour. He's not a bad boy that needs fixing. He's a bad egg, move on. And yes, it's on you too if you fail to do so.

A million, huh?  laugh out loud

May as well be. no no

My point being you couldn’t find this many women telling you any decent guy is in the wrong.
