No one else in my life cares as much about this show/Richie as I do, so I thought I'd share my reflections here. Apologies in advance for the long rant!

- He was completely right not to say 'I love you' after knowing Sam for only a few weeks, it means that when he next tells someone he loves them he hasn't devalued the words.
- He is all class- in interviews only had nice things to say about Sam and the other guys
- Seeing his sad face and seeing him speechless in the car literally hurt me in my chest. At the same time he looked so f$#*ing hot!
- I can't believe anyone would break his heart. He is the ultimate catch, and I think he knows it (e.g. what he said about wishing she gave him a chance, then she'd see that he would have treated her like a princess).
- Going forward I hope this whole experience has been a boost to his self-esteem, not a blow, in particular I hope he has realised all the women of Australia (and even many overseas) are infatuated with him
- I have minimal interest in watching tomorrow's episode, I now know what the rest of Australia (non-Bachelor/Bachelorette-fans) feel like about the franchise
- This may seem bitchy but I think he's too good for Sam, she wasn't able to recognise the most genuine guy there that of course wasn't going to pour his heart out on TV or lie about his feelings, but was being real, and instead she's going to pick between smooth-talking Michael who lied about his career, and Sasha who's admitted he wants a career on TV and also told he's falling 'more and more in love with her' after only two dates!!!! Michael may have been more touchy-feely, and Sasha more blokey, but really, I am 100% sure that Richie is more authentic than both of them, which is why he found the whole experience so difficult.

You know who is not goooooorrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnn, though? Beautiful perfect Richie, the wondrous unicorn man, whom Sam meets in Perth.

If Sam doesn’t want him, can someone set him up with a) ideally me, or b) alternatively, my beloved Heather?

Shyly, Richie confesses that he is “letting down his walls” for Sam, while Sam surreptitiously scans the nearby area for signs of her previous Perth-dwelling beau, that dirty street pie Bachie Blake. As I have written a lot of times before, this idea of emotional walls is one regularly ascribed to women, so I was kind of surprised to see Richie use it. Though not in a bad way. Bless his sensitive little heart.

“I’ve got a little bit of a Richie-crush,” Sam confesses. Don’t we all, sister. Don’t we all.

Richie’s response to this is “cool sticks.”

OH GOD I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

I mean, how could you not?

Anyway, Richie takes Sam to meet his mum, sister, and his mates, who have names like “Buff” and “Chich” and all think the sun shines out of his arse. “Richie is the best guy and he is the best and you should think that he is the best because I think he is the best and I love him,” one of his mates gushes. “So do you?”

“Um… he’s pretty good,” Sam responds.

You bet he is. LOOK AT HIS FACE, SAM.

I mean, look into his beautiful unicorn soul as well, but LOOK AT HIS PERFECT FACE AND TELL ME YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE MAKING OUT WITH THAT EVERY DAY.

After Sam deftly handles a few questions about her maybe moving to Perth to be with Richie (she’s down with it, even if dirty street pie Blake also lives there), Richie’s mum and sister are won over. “I thought she’d be a princess, but she’s a really nice girl,” his mum says.

She is a princess, tho, Richie’s mum. She’s a magical unicorn princess, making her a match for your magical unicorn son.

In conclusion: RICHIE OR GTFO.

Once it was pointed out to me that Richie looks a bit like Westley I couldn’t unsee it
and OH GOD YOU COULD HAVE THIS, SAM

Next week: there seems to be some skydiving and feather epaulets! (Independent of each other!)

And I KNOW Sasha has this in the bag, so stay tuned for the sound of my breaking heart when she breaks my Richie.

@Sunnyandhappy... I love your post and thoughts on Richie and I can feel and share your heartbreak.

Richie is a rare one indeed... I would never post on here anything if it wasn't a fact and I knew it to be a fact. I've never done that before either... usually I just rely on screencaps and sleuthing etc. Knowing how this ends was a relief to me but still heartbreaking. I guess it has helped me prepare so the shock won't be so bad... but I still expect to be heartbroken. It just sucks seeing someone so genuine be so vulnerable and exposed and then blindsided. It's rare I see someone have real feelings on this show and truly get hurt and not feel like it was just "the bubble" of being on this show. And I think this was the case with Richie. I watched for Richie and will cheer for him all the way. I guess I am even more bummed because I hoped that he would want to do some radio interviews and if anything, we get to hear his voice and tell he is okay. It's what makes me even more bummed out because I do think he is in the running for next Bachelor and the only way he won't be is if he turns it down. I want him to find his happiness but I would love even more if we got to see that. Perhaps he has found it already and is keeping it private. Who knows... I just want him to be happy.

I knew Heather was leaving and it still was heartbreaking.
Knowing Richie leaves doesn't make it any easier.
If Sam cried letting him go and said she cried her face off watching the episode then I am sure I will cry!!

I think we've established we'd give Richie our first and final rose and probably all the roses in between

He is in Melbourne quite early though but maybe he will do some more media rounds or something other than the Project? I'd think he'd do that Wednesday. Maybe he has some photoshoots lined up as well or other things? I can only hope

Agreed. Hopefully we get quite a few radio interviews. TV wise the only other thing I can think of is hybpa. Which I think is filmed tomorrow. Makes sense to have Richie on as I think Alex is out of the country
