Arie Luyendyk Jr - Lauren Burnham - Bachelor 22 - Discussion #2

As for Arie... I’m sorry. But we have a million girls telling us who this guy is, yet they are all wrong and he is right. This is the #metoo year, guys... so the victim blaming honestly makes me a little sad. JMO.

I don't think so. Arie seems to be up front about his feelings whether a woman likes it or not. I would think the producers and people involved in the production of the bachelor are the reason for the movement.

Bachelor 22 - Arie Luyendyk Jr - SM Media - *Sleuthing Spoilers* - #6

Why do you think that?

I disagree, and if anything, think the producers, male and female, who were sued for sexual harassment by a former producer on the show, are part of the reason there’s a #Metoo movement.  Her claims may not be true, but if they are, there was definitely harrassment.

Some, if not all, of these folks are still producing this show.  They produced Arie’s season and, I assume, will produce Becca’s.  I’m not sure where the suit stands right now, as there hasn’t been coverage since early November.

Wait. He was DMing Baby Bekkah????

laugh out loud laugh out loud laugh out loud

I mean, I always knew he was this slimy. He is totally sketch. Womanizing to the extreme. But I didn’t realize he was this stupid. Cause omg, he really is very dumb.

Seriously, almost 20 years of this show, being entrenched in Bach nation for the last 5.5 years. Seeing up close and personal the mistakes people have made... yet he does this????? He’s truly a moron.

Omg it’s so ironic this is #metoo year. Good casting choice tptb. Bravo.

Did Arie give a little shrug there? He can’t even muster any emotion. POS has lots of practice breaking off with women.

This happened in the #metoo year. laugh out loud Timely.

This doesn't surprise me at all. The lack of empathy I've seen Arie display these past weeks has been mind-blowing to me.

I think Arie cares only about himself and is one of the most self-absorbed, self-entitled leads this show has ever had, and that's saying something.

jmo

Arie said multiple ily’s to get the best performance from the F3 in the FS. Callous and unthoughful. He says he’s happy to see the ending to keep his current Fiancé at maximum performance . There are pics of the new proposal site and Finale redux. He wants everyone to see that so some will say aww.... and forget the underhanded way he went about things. Jmho

I'll take it a step further.
This show has for seasons, been about the show after the show. IMO
The ATFR has not been a re-cap of the lovey dovey couple for seasons, IMO. It's been about how much controversy, angst and drama can it drum up.
Now the show has been able to take it months ATFR with filming of this, that and the other.
We have two FRC now instead of one.  This is what the show thinks the audience wants IMO. Drama. The incredible. Jaw dropping.
Now they are really going to have to jump the shark and up the ante for the following seasons.

UnReal must really freaking them out. More viewers and more awards. Maybe TPTB are hoping for an Emmy this season? They needed the right dumb azz to carry out their bidding? In the age of {#}metoo{/#}, it should be interesting . And lmbo will Arie be the new face of this show ? Scary to think it might be yes .

Bekah Martinez - Bachelor 22 - Discussion

I'm guessing that much like Sydney, Bekah's words will also reveal themselves to be truth. If the #metoo movement taught me anything, it's that if dozens and dozens of women are saying the same exact thing, they're telling the truth. People just don't want to believe it and will often go to great lengths to make excuses and justifications, especially if the man is attractive, charismatic, and likable. It's sad. IMO.

Peter Kraus - Bachelorette 13 - Discussion - #10

lolo26 wrote:Speaking of BB. Was I the only one turned off by her saying that she "wasn't intimidated" by Rachel because she's black! That and using the #MeToo when she was actually being vindictive! They both seem like crappy people tbh.

No. IMO, she seems to have just as many issues as he does. No wonder they've been going back and forth for 3 years. They clearly weren't exclusive before or after the show, and I find it kind of curious how she was finally ready to love him fully when she realised he'd be semi-famous in the near future. I guess they have that in common as well, only wanting something when they're about to lose it. I also find it super ironic how she's complaining about him bringing up the trust issues repeatedly while at the same time she was reporting his every move to RS of all people for 8 months. I mean, clearly you aren't trustworthy, Brittany. dizzy Not saying he is either, but by the sounds of it they weren't exclusive, so I don't know what she expected exactly. Love can make you blind, I know, but I'd be hard-pressed to call her a victim of anything other than her own stupidity. It bugs me a lot that she's bringing #MeToo into it. Just no.

Peter obviously needs some therapy, but I still don't see any proof that he was just playing everyone the whole time. He said himself he might fall for Rachel and I think he did end up catching some feelings, even if they were bubble love at best. I'm sure after all the Brittany drama dating Rachel was refreshing, though not enough to cure his internal drama tendencies especially in those drama-feeding circumstances. Hooking up with Brittany after the show proves nothing IMO, since he's not the first or the last contestant to rebound with their ex after filming. It's very common in fact. If he was dying to get back to her, they'd be together now, or would've at least dated exclusively. Seems to me like she was just convenient. Crappy perhaps, but if you want more, then don't go along with some hot and cold casual thing for months on end. If he's not your boyfriend then he's unlikely to act like one. As for the manipulation and playing the victim, I think he genuinely thinks he's the victim most of the time, since he's overly emotional and kind of self-absorbed. I don't think it's nearly as intentional as people make it out to be, which is why therapy would be highly beneficial IMO.

All JMO.
